Pro Thermal Ceramic Heated Round Brush 1 1/2 Inch, Black Ionic Curling Iron

This heated curling brush is a time saver. I bought this brush to see if it was faster and/or easier to curl my hair with a styling brush rather than a traditional curling iron.Since I have rather fine, thin hair – and lose my hair in clumps – I was concerned about what temperature would be too much heat, too quickly. With this in mind, I started with the lowest heat. This brush has 12 settings. It goes from 212 lowest to 430 highest. I absolutely love that the temperature display is digital – this eliminates any guesswork or confusion as that what the exact temperature is. I also really appreciated that they included a glove so I wouldn’t burn my hand! (All hair heat products should have this included. I am happy this manufacturer went above and beyond to include the glove)I will admit that I didn’t go past the middle range of heat so I cannot tell you how the brush behaved in the higher heat levels. I didn’t need to go any higher with heat - the brush definitely gave my hair the lift and volume I wanted in the mid-heat range. I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe the lower heat with this brush will cause less damage than my hair straightener and curling iron I only have HIGH, MED, and LOW on.I did find that the volumizing worked best when I pulled my hair straight up in the air with my opposite hand sprayed my hair with a very small amount of styling spray and then ran the brush through it curling in a spiral movement. This worked much better than just running the brush through my hair and curling.I had to be really careful as I curled it into my hair. My hair is so thin and fine – I was sure it was going to get tangled and stuck in this brush – just like every other round brush I have ever used. I am happy to report that it didn’t tangle once or get caught once. I got through my whole head of hair without any tangles. As I mentioned, other round brushes are a nightmare in my hair. I have had to cut several out with scissors. Not this one thankfully.I was careful what setting I put the heat on. I started with the least amount of heat possible and worked my way up. I was worried that too much heat could burn my hair. It is too bad the brush bristles were not stationary. With the bristles being thin and moveable they move with the hair you are trying to gently remove from the brush. If they were stationary – the hair would catch in the bristles less.My only wish was that this brush was portable and worked on batteries as well as being plugged in. Then I could carry into the car. It is lightweight. Great thermal brush for smoothing your tresses while creating lift and volume. I have rather straight Asian hair that isn't very cooperative in that department. It wants to be what it wants to be. This brush is simple to use with various temperature settings for your hair type. I try to never use more heat than is needed to achieve the desired effect. No need to fry your hair, am I right? Came with a glove to protect your hands; which is helpful. You never know when an errant finger will make contact to the hot surface and then your day is ruined. If you are not used to using a thermal brush; it could get kind of fiddly and there's always a likelihood of getting your hair tangled in it. I find that using a smaller quantity of hair for each pass is better and more effectual that trying to take shortcuts.

Got this through the Vine. Cute, compact, and well made thermal brush. Heats up quickly and combs smaller hair's with easy. The bristles are a bit prickly but really holds on to the hair well. Well priced and makes a perfect gift for anyone.

This ceramic heated round brush has been so good for my hair. It makes it look fuller with more body. And with no frizz. I like that it shuts off automatically if it stays on by accident.

The styling brush is quick to heat up and reached its full temperature in approximately 90 seconds. The color is a light pink which adds a lovely feminine touch to your hair routine, and it's easy to operate. The power button can be used to toggle between the various temperatures which range between 212 degrees and 430 degrees F. There is a lighted digital display which shows the temperature as it's warming up, and it's easy to read.The brush has a wide barrel which will easily accommodate long hair, but it's not too bulky to the point where it's hard to manuever. It's pretty comfortable to hold, and it's not very heavy. It apparently has a 60 minute automatic shutoff for safety, but I haven't tested that particular feature.The styling brush also comes with a glove, two clips, and a small comb which I assume is to use as a curl separator. It could possibly also be used to help remove loose hair from the comb in between use.So far it's been a good tool to have on hand, and I'm pleased with the styling brush. It would also make a nice gift for any female.

This brush has 13 different heat settings from 212 (lowest) to 430* F (highest). There’s only 1 button, which is the power button. You push and hold the power button to turn it on. Plugging it in doesn’t turn it on, you also need to push and hold the power button. Once it’s on, you adjust the temperature by pushing the power button repeatedly until you get to the desired temperature. It heats up very quickly.However, one issue using this is that the power button is very sensitive, so it is easy to accidentally raise the temperature while using this without noticing. There’s a digital display that shows the temperature but it’s hard to notice especially since it’s where your fingers cover it up when holding the base.The base where the power cord connects rotates 360 so you don’t have to worry about the power cable overtwisting.The brush bristles are very firm and a little sharp if it accidentally pokes your scalp. It helps the barrel get a good grip on your hair but can cause some pulling if you’re not careful. It’s not as nice or good as using a round brush and dryer, since you’re basically stuck with an over firm heated brush, but it is a more efficient and much easier than managing two different items with two hands.In summary, cheap and efficient compared to a dryer and round brush, but defeatedly room for improvement; mainly the brittles and the temperature increasing by accident due to placement of the heat/power button.
