You have to download VTrans.AI app to use this, and it requires paying money to download offline language packs. It’s also a glitchy app and the latency is slightly worse than Google translate.There isn’t an “always on” function, which is my main gripe with Google translate. This one still times out and closes if no one speaks for a minute. The only advantage this has is that it attempts to translate multiple voices speaking in multiple languages at the same time, but it’s poor/slow.

Volume is way to low, even on highest setting to clearly hear. And I tested it in a quiet room so I can only imagine if I’m out and about in a busy area I won’t be able to hear it all. Also, the translation isn’t really that great. It’s OK for very simple sentences but anything more complex the translation becomes inaccurate.

The earphones did not translate anything, anytime, anywhere … great for listening to music on cell phone but that’s not why they were bought. The instructions and troubleshooting assistance are useless … these AI Translator ear phones are useless! Ability to translate 140 languages - not!

I have signed in to Amazon to retrieve the return info and found a notice to say the return window closed yesterday, not even one month after I bought it.

I traveled to Indonesia (still here) and the translator was useful when in more remote areas, IF the connection worked. After a month though, the power button stopped working so I cannot use it anymore. Tried resetting device, no difference. No warranty offered, so it’s more plastic waste.

I bought this Because I was going to Mexico to visit my husbands family and they don’t speak English. I was there for a month. This device says it comes with 2 years of data so I figured it would work. Once I got to Mexico and turned the device on it wouldn’t work. It would only work if I was at there house and had it hooked to WIFI. It was a complete waste of money and I don’t recommend this product to any one. Once I got home a month later and tried it the same thing had to be hooked to WI-FI. Don’t waste your money.
