Recently bought this and put it to the test. Drove from Ohio to North Carolina and back. Trip there zero water inside, trip back we had some very torrential rain and ended up getting some water inside but that was my fault as how the bag was mounted the front pointed up a little allowing for the water to make it in through the flap due to speed and angle.Overall I'm very happy with the bag and it's performance. It's very easy to load, we tried both on the vehicle and off. I would suggest off the vehicle and have some help putting it up top. Much easier to even stuff out and pack it properly. Also, make sure you pull down on the straps so they are tight but not too tight. You don't want to rip them out of the mounts. Additionally we tied the excess strap to itself so no loose strap was flapping in the wind at freeway speeds to reduce potential for fraying of the ends.While the hard shell rooftop containers are very nice, I liked this one as I could remove it when i got to my destination and when we returned home. Folding it up and storing is a breeze and doesn't take up much needed garage space when we aren't using it.I used this on our minivan and I plan on also using on a roof rack for a Jeep Wrangler. I like how universal it is.

Kept the bag in place, can ask for anything more.

This product works good for me. I use it to load and unload my kayaks onto and off my rooftop carrier. They added friction keepd my boats from sliding.

Flew off on the interstate... So much for that!

We were making a road trip from South TX to Colorado & were in desperate need of extra cargo storage. We were skeptical about buying this, but thrilled to say it WORKED LIKE A CHARM! Offers tons of room, kept our contents completely moisture free through rain, sleet & snow, held tight & well worth the price. Would definitely recommend!!

Good size for SUV roof. I used it on a 500 miles road trip and worked as expected. Just be sure not to leave to much area exposed in the front side (near the windshield) because it'll be noisy.

Did it's job

This was not able to be put in my roof without a rack or additional straps. Whichbthe decription didn’t mention.

We love this bag so far minus one flaw... due to the way it hooks into our vehicle, we realized too late that when it is raining, the straps will get wet and water will leak into the vehicle. Thinking we were doing a good thing by packing the night before and avoiding the rain, we woke up to wet seats. Despite the wet seats, everything inside the bag stayed completely dry and it was easy to place on the roof. I do however recommend getting a non slip mat to out in under it. The bag carries quite a bit of cargo, which we are very pleased with!

Caveat Emptor !! Buyer Beware !! Photos show a heavy duty protective pad but I got a 'flimsy' kitchen drawer liner. Not worth $24 CAD total price. I opened package and cannot return to China. I failed to notice the 1/8" measurement in one of the Company photos. I bought this pad to line my pickup truck box but pad has the structure of tissue paper. This material will 'stain' your motor vehicle exterior paint if you place on vehicle roof.

Traveled from Toronto Canada to Miami Florida from snow to rain and it lasted the whole way no rips and water proof! Had no rack and went through inside of car just the 2 straps! Had a big luggage and a big box and a couple of big bags! Lasted the entire ride, there was some noise from the outside cause of the straps being inside the car with no rack but the radio and music playing helped drown it out and we got used to it. Bought a mat to go under to protect roof of car.

I out it under my cargo lugage only to find out it rolled out all the way to the back . It can be good if not going high speed but not on highways.

On a longer trip at highway speeds? The wind will actually blow this out from under your roof top carrier eventually. On a 12 hour trip it was in a roll at the back
