Good skillet low price
We bought this skillet about 6 months ago. I had concerns about plastic lid and legs. We been using it as much as 5 times a week. It has been working great. Lid and legs are fine no signs of wear yet. An unexpected bonus is the lid stays cooler preventing heat loss through the lid making the skillet cook better more efficiently and it is hard to get burned by the lid.Cleaning, so far nothing has stuck to the skillet so cleaning has been easy.Temperature, I have found the temperature of the skillet is pretty spot on but it cooks faster than our old skillet by several minutes, so we have had to adjust our time for cooking. Control is okay but could have been made easier to set.How even does it cook. We have not seen any problems, even with pancakes. We had our old skillet for 20 years see how long this one lasts.

Excellent!!
This is our go to bacon pan. We cook bacon, sausage and Canadian bacon every morning for breakfast. Side meat and eggs or waffles are a great healthy way to start the day. It has been three months and pan is still perfect. I do believe this pan will last for a very long period of time in perfect condition. Thank you to Presto for making such a great product!

Chickens beware, you will be fried!!!!
I frequently cook for extended family, usually around 12 people. This skillet is the perfect size! I love fried chicken, but in a regular skillet you have to cook in batches, and the first batch gets cold before the second batch gets done. With this skillet, I can fry up a couple of chickens at once, brown up 3-5 pounds of hamburger, or even fry 6-8 regular hamburger patties all at the same time! The dial control plugs into the base securely and is easy to use. Assembly was a breeze. The feet and handles for the pan are just two separate pieces, one set of feet with a handle at each end. The screws are already fitted into the screw-holes they will go into, so no annoying little plastic baggy to tear open or get lost. This did lead to some amusement for my son, who was watching as I began frantically tearing through the packaging, unable to find the little baggy of screws that just HAD to be there somewhere. Of course, he had noticed the screws already in place. The remaining piece, the handle on the lid, was simple now that I had already found the screws to use. The lid itself seems to be a plastic, but it is holding up to the heat very well and is very well made. It cleans up easily, and is dishwasher safe.

So far so good, have used this new skillet twice since it ...
So far so good, have used this new skillet twice since it arrived and both times, no problems. Heating appears even, and the coating remains intact. I hand wash it, and the finish has not discolored. It does mention that if you wash it in the dishwasher it will discolor the metal. It's easy enough to clean, food wipes off without much effort.Have had the product for several months now, use it at least twice maybe 3 times a month, and I am pleased to say that the finish is very good, like new, and it heats evenly. I still hand wash it, and it wipes clean easily. Love this appliance!Update: Use my skillet every week and have had it for quite a while. There is a very slight chip in the nonstick surface around the rim of the pan, but it does not seem to be getting any worse. I think this pan has held up well for how often it gets used. I still hand wash it, and it looks like new. Continues to work well, heats evenly.

Great electric skillet
I've been using this for a little over a year. Sometimes I use it multiple times a week and it has held up to everything I use it for. I make burgers in it mostly, but i also make homemade chicken strip, homemade pork tenderloins, fried morels, fried catfish....etc. I find it easiest to clean while it's still hot. Everything comes off without much effort. The only complaint I have is that the lid isn't metal like the old ones, it's some kind of plastic. But that being said, it has worked just fine. I've had no issues with it thus far.

My everyday go to skillet.
The ease of cooking with this over my stainless steel pots and pans is a very welcome nightly edition. I use less oils, easy to cook and clean. The lid is a big edition over the other presto electric griddles because you can cook the meats all the way through faster without overcooking sides and it holds the moisture. Also, has a much tougher scratch resistant surface than the open griddles which developed an exposes ring where the heating coils would show from underneath. This is a fantastic all purpose cooker!

Great inexpensive electric skillet!!!
Great inexpensive electric skillet! I use this almost exclusively for cooking. I hate cooking so I mostly batch cook so I only have to do major cooking about every 4 days or so. (I cook coconut flour blueberry pancakes almost daily though, they disappear fast!) I fry chicken (9 breasts at a time), steam saute veggies (full) and scramble eggs (12 at a time) and it never lets me down. I use coconut oil for all of my oil/lubrication needs as it can take high heats very well and is actually GOOD for you. My last one lasted over a year and this one is lasting longer! I've found the key to making it last longer is the obvious 1. no metal tools and the not so obvious 2. Wash immediately. If I have fried chicken in it or over cooked a veggie to the point of them sticking to the pan (I have ADHD and frequently forget I am cooking.) Then I add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan and turn it to 325. Using a flat bamboo tool I slowly let it boil and stir the stuck on food off of the surface. (Do not scrape. It will come off easily once it has absorbed the water.) Once it is all off I move to the sink and wash it immediately. (Make sure the water from the faucet is HOT first so you don't shock the pan.)I'm not really sure a non stick pan is supposed to last forever. After all, it is coated with a chemical that will degrade over time. I have gone through several non stick pans in my life but still have my original stainless steel Revere Ware which I love but rarely use anymore since I started batch cooking. For me, the price is cheap enough that I have no problem replacing it every year or two as much as I use it because for me it really gets mileage being used every day!
