Fantastic hitting mat, have only used it for three days, but hitting everything from P to 5W from the surface, no teeing up, and it's holding beautifully. It's adequate for all sorts of clubs as it's a big mat, ideal in my opinion, and you would be hard pressed to find a better option for the money. I can recommend this, it's a good, quality product. It may have a heavy plastic/synthetic smell at first, but leave it outside for a day, and it's gone.

This mat is excellent for practicing in my backyard. It pairs well both with my driving and my chipping nets. Whether driving or chipping, the turf is the perfect length. It's got holes for tees. It can take a beating and hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear after a couple months of use. I love the size. I also have smaller mats (like 2X2) but I find these move around too much. This larger mat stays in place and my balls don't fall off the tee when I'm practicing my swing or moving around on it. It is a bit heavy so not easily taken on the go. But for my purposes, I couldn't be happier.

This is an honest review and not a biased "Vine Customer Review of Free Product". Overall yes, this mat will work for a short period but it's not high quality for the long term. The epoxy of the hitting mat and strips are not strong enough to hold itself together and the carpet will tear/fall apart. One of the thicker hitting strips does not fit in the hitting mat, it's dimensions are not proportional to the area it's supposed to fit in causing it to bow and stick up. Save your money and opt for a well known high quality hitting mat from a brand specializing in golf simulator equipment. I mean just look at that guy's swing in the product pictures..Amirite?

Won't lay flat and is really hard

You can’t not see the thick padding on this thing, and it’s a good size 4’x5’. It looks good and looks to be a good quality mat.It has nice rubber tees one is made to hold regular tees in addition to the rubber tee holding the ball.1 side the smaller is a “rough” to hit off of. The larger area is for the tees and the hit off the turf, more like a fairway.It feels durable, especially when you have the option to turn it around and use the other side. It’s a big practice are and a good value for the money. The size, weight, and fact that you are standing on it help to keep everything in place.It also includes a golf towel, a key chain, the rubber tees, some plastic tees, tees of all sizes, and 10 foam balls. Mine had 6 white and 4 yellow.
