Liberty MountainRings and Pins, Pack of 6, Silver, Small

I checked my local backpacking shop, and they said nobody makes these anymore. I was pleased to find these fit my 90’s jansport external frame hiking pack. They’re long, so they needed trimmed and re-drilled for my application.

Used a n a Trekker 4300 and it is working great

It is hard to find these so I guess beggars can't be choosers but they are really roughly made. I had to take a file to them to get them to fit because of the rough edges.

Used these to fix an external-frame backpack. Worked great!

They are Rigid PINS!! The right length. Do the job.

I have 3 backpacks and as scoutmaster see dozens of backpack and yet I am ignorant! I didn't know that backpack rings and pins come in multiple sizes. At least all the backpacks that I have are the same size and they are only about half the size that was shipped to me in the Liberty Mountain package. These monsters might be strong but they don't work as replacements for the backpack. I find no reference on the internet of different sized pins and rings. Did they just ship the wrong thing? It's after hours (5pm mountain standard time) so I can't ask the Liberty Mountain company any questions and the backpacking trip starts tomorrow.
