As a cook book should be!
Bought 2 books on Mediterranean cuisine and one was a complete flop (negative review submitted) and this one is a wee gem. Great recipes AND a great preamble/dissertation on Greek geography and cuisine as the set-up for what appears to be a great cookbook. Beautiful pictures and recipes that resonate to the extent that I have added Greece to my bucket list of countries to visit. One word review? Delicious

A well presented book
I liked the fact that there are coloured photo pages - I always think when you can see the food in colour it makes it more appealing to look further. I also like the bits of history behind the recipes - it gives added interest. Well presented in sections. My one wish is that print was a bit larger - but that is down to my own eyesight and should not be a problem for younger eyes.

Just tried four recipes so far and three were amazing, the forth near amazing
Just tried four recipes so far and three were amazing, the forth near amazing. It's going to be interesting to see if this holds up as I move forward through the book. The writing is a little quirky, so go over each recipe to make sure you are clear on how to proceed. The near amazing recipe was for chicken and figs. The recipe calls for enough figs for four or five times the chicken and required more than double the wine called for to cook them in. The other three recipes were spot on. If you like Greek cooking, give this one a try.

Very good book
It has the most well known traditional recipes of greek traditional food. Very good photos! Highly recommended!

Pretty badly written book with nice pictures. Not recommended.
I wanted a new, lively book on Greek cuisine. My 30+ year-old version is far superior. Not recommended.
