Audi Navigation Upgrade Audi CarPlay with Reversing Camera Interface for Audi B8/B8.5 A4 A5 2009-2015 for MMI equipped cars

Having this Carplay system fitted to my 2012 A4 makes a big improvement to my car, before I had a screen which had limited use apart from displaying the radio information, now I can see full Apple Maps, play my music and make handsfree calls using Siri, I feel like my car is a lot more modern than before!I found that fitting took me a little while, but the step by step instructions and installation video provided were helpful. I also like the fact that all the wiring is fairly easy to plug and play, no cutting wires, and all the cars menus are accessible as before. Very satisfied with the purchase.

At first I thought this was a good product with a good team behind it, but alas no. Just another outfit selling old Chinese units with their own sticker slapped on it.The unit invariably works in its most basic sense, but its not what its supposed to be. The units are supposed to work with screen mirroring and android auto. There is a manufacturing fault that means that android auto doesnt work as it should, as such ever other company that sells these unichip units and their variations stopped selling them and began selling the new models that do work as intended.Not only does Unique Auto Developments remove items from the box that they sell you depending on your car, but they know these boxes aren't fit for their intended purpose and are in fact selling the boxes that do work on their own website for the same price. Here they are burning through old stock on unsuspecting amazon customers.Having now brought this to the attention of UAD I was told repeatedly by some ignorant customer service person that "I should just be happy using apple because its better than android". Nothing like getting someone elses unsolicited opinion papered over your own. The end result was that they would charge me another £75 to "fix" the unit and it would take 3 weeks to do so because they have to send it to china!!!! Bought the item 2 months ago and they want £75 to fix it.Avoid this box. You can get them with out the UAD sticker, and that will actually work for else from other sellers. And best of all you wont have to deal with these rip off artists.

I've been searching a good car-phone system for my Audi for a while and I'm so happy that I found this product. I'm 100% satisfied about this product. John and Laura from Unique Auto Developments are super friendly and patient. I had to contact them for many questions and they've been super helpful. I also had a little issue with my AMI port(I'm hearing ground loop electric noise when the AMI port is used) and their engineer provided a solution that solves the problem completely. I purchased the front, reverse camera + carplay box and it worked great. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a phone-car solution for Audi users.
