It was slightly damaged, but still functional.
The pins were damaged when I got it. That was a nuisance since I had to solder connections to it. The most annoying aspect is that it doesn’t give a default signal when I’m not touching it. So I’ll have to add a second toggle/button/sensor to make it work properly.Also, the sticker on the end of it made it sticky, so I’ll have to wash it carefully to make that part functional.Edit: I should give them more credit. I know their business more than I let on, and it’s not easy to produce this niche stuff. They are, at the moment, the only place that offers this type of sensor for a reason. I got this to work for my purposes, and ordered 3 more.My recommendation to the manufacturer would be to at a simple conductive strip so that it is easy to determine if something is touching it at all. That’s a feature I desperately need for my purpose.
