So I couldn't tell from other reviews too much about this but the wood is unfinished pine. This is perfect for me because we want to either paint it or stain it and seal it. The reason the hinges aren't in in the photo is because we plan to paint it and assemble it with a fence post base. I am not sure how well it'll be waterproofed in places with crazy weather but I think it's worth it and might add a cute style roof anyway. Some caulk or silicone in the edges might be good to. It comes with a screwdriver and an Allen key but if you have your own that are a bit better it'll help.Also the directions don't show what the l brackets are for but they go on the inside of the door at each corner.

I got this as a gift for someone who has wanted a little library for years. I love that this one can easily be customized and the size is perfect. It won’t be overwhelming in her yard. Very excited for her to receive it!

Adorable and very easy to put togetherThe instructions were ok but posted pictures very helpful. A hint to remove the covers on the fiberglass is to use WD 40 to get off the film and then gently in the corners to peel the film off. No scratches .

There used to be a few libraries in my old neighborhood that my kids loved, but we’re moving soon so I’m very excited to start this tradition in our next home!! Good material and perfect size.

The assembly instructions are short and pictured, hard to get wrong. I put the product together within 15 minutes and it came with all of the tools to do so. This is going to make a perfect little free library for our house.

I am so excited to find this on Amazon! I have wanted one of these for SO long! But they were always so expensive unless you were able to make one yourself which I cannot. This one you need to assemble, but that I can do. It comes with all the materials you need, it is very easy to put together, good instructions and very solid thick pieces of wood. Quality materials , quality product and I am absolutely thrilled with it! I finally get to have my own little library, love!
