Gel Spice Imported Basil Leaves 28oz

This is by far the cheapest dried basil ($/oz) you will get. It’s far more than I’ll ever use, but at this cost we’ll worth it. Share it with (many) friends! I didn’t realize how old my other basil was which ran out. This has a much stronger flavor, so I have to use less in my mom’s spaghetti sauce recipe. That’s hardly a complaint! You won’t go wrong with this purchase.

I go through lots of herbs and spices, so I'm always looking for deals, sales, bulk prices. This met all my homestead chef needs, and pricing demands. The flavor and smell is excellent for dried basil. I'd get it again but I'm also always looking for deals, so we shall see!

The basil works great! It comes in a giant container that I can reuse for other spices that I’m buying in bulk. I like the handle, but it would nice if they tweaked the container a bit so that spice was not going into the handle part. Otherwise, it will be harder to clean out when you’re done.

It's so delicious - I always add it after removed from heat and my sauce tastes heavenly as if the Parmesan cheese was already added in. This basil is of excellent quality and I love cooking with it.

Basil, an herb that along with oregano, salt and pepper is used in this house daily. If it's not mixed in a blend it's just sprinkled on or in. I was super excited to find such a large canister of good quality, fresh basil ready to use in my blends and rubs.
