My sister and I had a chance to visit Uji last year. We attended some traditional tea ceremonies and tasted various exquisite matcha. That trip definitely set a high bar! So, I was genuinely pleased to find this HAYASHIYA Fuji matcha available here – it really hits the mark for authentic quality. First off, the color is that vibrant, deep green you look for in a good first-harvest ceremonial grade. It's a super fine powder and whisks up beautifully smooth. Taste-wise, it strikes a wonderful balance. It's got that lovely smoothness, a noticeable savory umami depth, and a natural sweetness that lingers just right. Honestly, it reminds me strongly of the high-quality bowls I enjoyed in Uji. It's now my go-to morning cup at the office – literally the first thing I make when I get in (yes, I keep a proper whisk (chasen) and matcha bowl there).

It's a gorgeous vibrant green color and the flavor is yummy. In a latte it kind of reminds me of honey nut cheerios milk but just imagine it not as sweet, so it pairs beautifully with agave! However, I found this powder to not be as smooth & it doesn't froth up as well for me... It's a bit on the grainy side but I just whisk as much as I can because it's still very delicious and yummy. It just doesn't whisk up as fast as some other matcha powders I own. The powder has a yummy toasty scent as well. I would repurchase

so authentic and aromatic. You can just smell the high quality of the matcha powder. Tastes is crisp and smooth. I look forward to making it everyday.

Out of the 5 matcha brands I've tried this has been the best and strongest one. I usually make koicha and found the hotter the water the bitterness goes up,and,from what I understand is the caffeine showing up,so,depending on my caffeine needs I adjust water temp,140 is slight bitterness and at175/180 it a little more. So good I subscribed to get it monthly.

I’ve tried quite a few matcha powders and I’ll have to say this is one of my favorite so far. I’d say go for this if you’re looking for a good quality matcha powder for lattes.The matcha itself had a very grassy, vegetal, and somewhat earthy flavor, which makes sense since it’s essentially powdered tea leaves mixed with water. When you mix it with water, it becomes really thick and foamy, which adds a unique texture. I added oat milk and syrup and it was amazing! 10/10

in my opinion, this matcha isnt the highest quality. the flavor is not as strong as other matchas ive tried and is instead a very bland, bitter taste. the color is nice though, as it’s a decent color of green. id say theres higher quality matchas out there

Pretty good. If you like a grassy matcha taste, this one is it. Good price, and color was pretty.
