Fairy Fashion (Dover Coloring Books)

I love fairies, I draw them and really enjoy having a color book with them. Some of the pages are a bit childish, the fairies have some weird faces on a few pages, but you get what you pay for. It's still fun to color with,The pages are fairly nice quality, they held up to my using water color pencils on it (including the water), colored pencils and crayons. I prefer colored pencils, so that's what I use for the most part. The fairies in this can be a bit more to the lore of scary little creatures, so don't come into this thinking they are all pretty like the one on the cover. For the price, it's still a great book. Lots of things to color, but it could also be used for a kids coloring book.

I will admit that I thought the fairies were going to look a lot more like the one on the front cover and was really hoping that they would. However they look much more cartoonish on the inside. But that's ok...its all for fun anyways. Its a nice book with soft paper...not too soft of course but enough for it to be comfortable enough while coloring. If gently using colored pencils like Prismacolor you could even blend if you know how to do it.Overall its a fun book and I purchased extra books, one for my son's girlfriend as well as for a dear, old friend of mine for holiday gifts. I think they will both be happy as well.

I almost chose a different coloring book after reading the reviews. I'm glad I didn't. Even though I haven't used it yet,I know this is exactly what I wanted and expected. It is true that it doesn't have a lot of intricate detail but it has great imagination and artwork. Still good for any age artist using pen & ink,colored pencils or water colors. I would have preferred that it not have a picture on the back of page (one image per sheet) because I'm afraid it will press through on a heavy hand. Overall, I think it's a great product for the cost and will be fun/relaxing coloring book. Plus,I had free shipping and got it super fast and on a Sunday!

A great more 'advanced' coloring book. Lovely and fun scenes with a theme that sparks a young girls fantasy. Bought for my granddaughter who is preteen and she loves it. Its not my taste but she is able to color some nice pictures. The images are less detailed so there are times when she has to blend colors to make them work. Being young that is not always easy for her but having her mom an artist helps.

I love the pictures in this book. They are going to be fun to color. My one complaint is that the pictures are printed on both sides. I can't use my markers on the pictures as it would ruin the picture on the back for the page. It would also be nice if the pages were perforated. But the pictures are just awesome. .

Crisp, clear lines accepts most mediums but careful to not use too much water. Although white acid free papers (your white paper from turning yellow, especially looking back on our coloring books more than 55 years ago!!!

I bought this book as a gift for a friend of mine that loves fairies. She said that this is a great book that is so much fun! So much so that after I sent this one to her, she ordered another copy to send to her daughter. Dover Coloring Books always provides a good quality book and employs wonderful artists. You can never go wrong with one of their books!

This book is great if you like fairies and I do. The paper is of very good quality and the images are big and bold, very easy to color and fun. If you wanted a break from detailed designs, this is a great book to turn to. I have bought two of these books, my grandchildren started coloring in it and loved it, actually took it home with them so I ordered another one for myself.
