My basement office is without windows, so all my lighting must be done by fixtures. I have about 10 mini cans that hang from the ceiling to add a theater tec sort of appearance--and they can be turned and tilted to point anywhere. I had first started with CFLs as LED bulbs were not on the market and they worked okay, not too much heat but they were always too yellow for my needs. They started to burn out so I replaced them with LED lamps that were the same style but slightly brighter and whiter...this was great for a very short while and then the lamps began to flicker and fail at a ridiculous rate. My final search brought me to these EcoSmart R20 Daylight LED, Dimmable, 600-Lumen, 5000K, 8-Watt lamps. They are perfect! I replaced a few of the stuttering LEDs with a 3 pack as a test and with no failures ordered this 12 pack (a considerable savings of around 50% off four 3 packs). My office is now running only these EcoSmart lamps in the ceiling cans and the room is bright and no longer dingy yellow. You have options for your choice in color temp, but with light gray walls and two walls covered with books, I need bright. For your recessed lighting or specialty fixture requiring a mini spot, I believe you will find these LEDs a dependable source for a long time. (I have no dimmers so cannot speak to that feature.)

I’ve had 14 of these daylight LED lamps installed for just over 2 years. As of 4/28/19 I’ve had to replace 3 that have “burnt out” they no longer work. All in different areas of the house that see different hours a day of use. Claim of 22 years of use is falling a bit short for us. I would not purchase this brand again

Don’t work as advertised. They don’t dim with TP link dimmable switch. Going to return.

I purchased these July 29, 2019 its now January 22 2021. One by one over the past 6 months they have been burning out. I bought 6 bulbs and half of them are dead.

I bought about 50 of the same EcoSmart light bulbs 5 years ago and those bulbs lasted a long time. As I have had to replace some of those 5 year old bulbs I noticed EcoSmart is not manufacturing the new bulbs the same way as those bulbs from 5 years ago. The result of the new bulbs is that they flicker after a couple weeks and i have to replace them. I then purchased bulbs from Torchstar and they work as they should. Unfortunately bottom line is that these new EcoSmart bulbs are junk.

Only had this product less than a week but to date we are extremely satisfied. We are using these in our bedroom in can lights. There are 8 lights that equal to one 65 watt bulb. The brightness will definitely light up a room. I was considering changing the light dimmer but we were using bulbs not rated for our particular dimmer.

ideally I wanted higher brightness, but this was excellent for the money.

I wanted a very "white" light that was not harsh and these are perfect. I followed the recommendations from a contractor who was very explicit about the specs.
