The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Collection 2: Seven BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramas

I have them all, the full BBC Sherlock Holmes collection on audible, but love the shows so much I had to have them in real time too. Clive Merrison and Michael Williams are brilliant in these BBC full cast drama’s. So much fun, Doyal would love them.

Excellent bedtime listening. Can't imagine Holmes sequels being better done

As a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, I was a little reticent to imagine that anyone, other than ACD himself, might pen a decent story of the 'great detectives' exploits !!I needn't have worried, Bert Coules' adaptations are excellent, as close to the atmosphere of Doyles' original as can be.An entertaining and original collection of stories!

Great stuff. they dont make them like so anymore.

The first two stories were a bit predictable (i.e. I guessed who did it!) but the rest were excellent.

Like the first batch of "Further Adventures" stories, this second volume is simply brilliant. Clive Merrison is for me right next to the late and great Jeremy Brett one of the great Interpreters of Holmes. He is smooth suave and I have come to enjoy Andrew Sachs as dear Watson very much. I loved most of the stories except for "The Striking Success of Miss Franny Blossom" which in my opinion was a bit out of character and "The Eyes of Horus" which was frankly a bit of a bore.

Mr. Coules faithfully follows and then expands upon the canon of Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes characters. His stories are well paced and acted with intelligence and flair. I only regret that there aren’t more of them.
