Top quality thick and heavy wooden board
This is a solid wood, top quality, chopping board. It is an excellent size for everyday use, and has a handle which makes it easier to hold.It has a fair bit of weight to it and can be used as a worktop saver, serving tray or chopping board. It comes extremely well packaged, and the workmanship is evident immediately. It has the brand name engraved deeply on one side, which can be hidden by turning the board if you didn’t want it on show.It looks stylish and sleek and I feel the price reflects the quality.

Thick, chunky and great quality chopping board
This is a very good quality chopping board, that is heavy (in a good way), very solid and an integrated handle. The acacia wood has a very attractive grain, making it ideal for serving food as well as chopping and preparing food.At over ÂŁ20 this is not a cheap chopping board, but it is substantial, excellent quality and recommended.

Looks Gorgeous But Unsure On Long Term Durabilty
The first impressions are fantastic - this is a heavy, heavy piece chopping board which is a good thing - a sign of good quality and proper materials throughout. I've kept it on my kitchen surface as a full time placement so the extra weight isn't of concern to me, and actually helps keep it in place. The wood is pretreated and washes well without stains (so far), it did come with a smell but that was cleared after a thorough wash and being allowed to air out.My only real concern is that I can see on my board that it is made of 2 pieces (difference in grain running through in a perfect straight line) and other users seem to report the board eventually splits in 2. As this hasn't happened to me I won't adjust my review now, but in the future I will come back and update if need be.

Luxurious, thick, heavy, dark wood. EDIT - Can't recommend!
EDIT - SEE UPDATE AT ENDThis came very well packaged - the board is sealed in a plastic cover, then wrapped in soft sponge sheet and finally placed in a thick strong cardboard outer box.The board itself is heavy and thicker than any other board I have. The opposite end from the handle has a cut away section on one side to allow you to get your finger tips under the board to help lift it - which is a great feature due to it's weight. The dark wood exudes a luxurious quality that makes me not want to use it for cutting on but rather use it as decoration for my counter top!** EDIT **I've had this for 2 weeks now and have just thrown it out.It sits on my cream laminate worktop - and like all worktops this occasionally gets wet.I moved the chopping board earlier to clean under it and some water had seeped under it - this then left a dark brown stain on my worktop. I'm not sure if that's the natural colour of the wood leaching out or if they have used a dye to stain the wood - either way it left a horrible stain on my counter top. I tried all the household clean I had, including bleach without success! In the end it took some considerable scrubbing with Pink Stuff and a Scrub Daddy to remove the stain...No way I'm going through that again so I have chucked it out...

Brilliant, top quality, thick board
The media could not be loaded. I have a few cheaper chopping boards already, I use them often but don't take the best care of them. This on the other hand, it's almost too beautiful to use to chop anything on. I'm still deciding between using it for chopping or as a display piece when serving my friends when they come over for dinner.I will certainly invest in some oil for it and treat it with care.It is heavy duty and thick, it feels very well made. It does feel as if it has some protective oils on it already.

Loud Banging Noises When in Use Due to Wobbles
The chopping board arrived very well packaged—sealed in a plastic cover, wrapped in a soft sponge sheet, and placed in a strong cardboard outer box. It is solid wood, top-quality, and an excellent size for everyday use. The handle makes it easy to hold, and its weight allows it to double as a worktop saver, serving tray, or chopping boardHowever, the board is not flat and wobbles quite badly, affecting its functionality. Despite its stylish appearance and impressive craftsmanship, this wobbling issue detracts from its usability. The brand name is deeply engraved on one side, which can be hidden by turning the board. While I have a few cheaper boards that I don't take the best care of, this board is almost too beautiful to use for chopping and might better serve as a display pieceThe board is heavy-duty, thick, and feels well-made, with some protective oils already applied. Despite the wobbling issue, it’s a beautifully crafted board that can add a touch of elegance to any kitchen

Some iffy things to consider
Pros- it's reasonable enough quality wise- the one I received is only 2 pieces- not terrible grain on the woodCons- has an awful smell and sticky feeling upon first opening- it's not perfectly flat on the cutting side and there's a very minute lip where the boards are joined- bit large for a general sized board holderSo it's a well designed board. I like the design of it. Some thoughtful additions like the hand grips on the side. It's large enough and nicely thick but it might be a tad too thick for a general cutting board holder. I had to squeeze it into mine. The main concern is that the cutting side is not perfectly flat. The sides are better sanded to a smoother finish than the top is. This shows the lip of where the boards join. It's minute but it's noticeable. So might require a bit of extra TLC to get it where it should be.There's the other thing of the potent smell when you unwrap it. It's a little sticky. I'm not sure what they've used to cause either one or both of these issues. I was a bit hesitant to use it until I'd gave it a thorough clean and let it all air out for a few days. I'd highly recommend washing it and maybe even sanding back their top layer and re-oiling in with something you would know it is.We'll see how longer use goes but it's not the best option I can think of.

Beautiful quality, made with great care!
I was truly impressed when I saw the quality of these cutting boards - I even keep them on my counter, they compliment my kitchen. The smallest is most versatile for me, I use it everyday. Having plastic boards before these I was shocked by how much better my knives worked (& stayed sharp). They get TLC from me keeping them clean, dry & oiled ... hope they last a long time. If I need another board I will go to Vesta Homes for sure!
