It might be too soon to evaluate
I have Alzheimer's. Last week I wandered off around midnight and spent the night in jail. My son ordered 4 sensors, one for each exit door and installed them. He said the installation was quick and easy, using a multi-tool to trim the molding. We are remodeling our old home built in 1965 and have LED lights controlled with Alexa Smart Home. Using six Echo devices throughout the house with many types of sensors, the implementation can be challenging. My son has the door sensors activate an alert on three cell phones (wife, son, and daughter-in-law) plus sound the siren (round purple thing) and Alexa turns ALL of the lights on in the house. If I exit the front door, they can all check the video and sound when the "Ring" alert goes off on their cell phones. I am confined to my home, forgetful, and a little crazy but still smarter than most folks. ;)

Update: 1 stopped working
It is a good product, its does what it supposed to do, and send notifications without issues to iOS (iphones) but it does not send notifications to Android phones or tablets. So if you have an Android this is not the product for you. With Alexa it recongnize the sensor but does not do anything with it. The IFTTT skills does not work nor other skill with Alexa. So one sensor works great, the other just stopped working and could it get to connect it again to the wifi. Waste of moneyI recommend it if you have an iphone and you dont want to link it with Alexo or any other smart hub. If you want it as addition to your smart home, definitely search for something else.

Solid product! I like it.
The sensor, notification and the smart phone app are pretty good. I am pretty pleased with it. The adhesive tape that came with it gave in only a few days after I set it up in my garage and it fell. I don't think that's a problem with the product, it's just a matter of how I set it upWhile it was up on the side of the garage door, it gave me accurate notifications. The technology and design are solid. I'd recommend it and once you've a good place to install, use screws (comes with it) to set it up instead of the adhesive tape.

Decent - does the job
I have had this for about a month now.* the core functionality works perfectly. I get notified on my iOS app each time the door opens (don't really leave the door open for long so can't tell how that works)* the battery is still going - looks like it powers up the wifi only when there's any activity, which is good for battery life (but adds the 2-3 secs of lag which is not bad )* has functionality to notify if someone tries to remove the sensor - extra benefit* Alexa integration worked with a little bit of trying even though I don't use it much* IFTTT integration doesn't work. The only activity listed is for "turned on" and "off" which don't apply to this device and even if you add it, it triggers every few mins for no good reason.* In my case the installation was a bit difficult because the other side of the door was uneven, and I had to find and add some extra padding. Not manufacturers fault but would be good to have some extra installation padding.

Exactly what I needed...
The item does exactly what it is intended to; It sends you a notification when the two pieces are far from each other! In other words, if you put it on the main door like I did, whenever someone opens the door it notifies me. You can have it send notifications for door open, door close, item tampered with and low battery.Even when i'm thousands of miles away, as soon as the door opens the notification is sent!I'm planning to purchase 2 more for the windows as well!Really great product if you want something very simple just to know if anyone's entering your house or windows!

Works as expected but doesn't go beyond the phone notifications ...
Works as expected but doesn't go beyond the phone notifications. Hence if I am not near my phone it doesn't sound an alarm which I was expecting and which my other sensor does.

Does not work as intended. Notifications are spotty at best
This product only works part-time. It does not keep a full record of door open and closing. It only works sometimes. More complications than it's worth. I should have bought the more expensive version if I would have known that this one was garbage I would have done just that. Now I have to buy another one because this product lasted about 2 months before everything went haywire. Have replaced the batteries have reset have done everything in the troubleshooting and still cannot get consistent notification

Good value
All the other systems I had looked at seemed inexpensive at first but once you dig in the monthly fees are significant. With this, for a one time fee; it provides all the security I need. The best part is that the TUYA system provides a great foundation to build out the rest of smart home product I have and want to add in the future. This was a great purchase especially for the price, great value.
