From a cherry phosphate soda at the local fountain to an Angostura Phosphate at the neighborhood tavern, acid phosphate was an early 20th century drink ingredient all-star. Eventually, it fell out of favor and was replaced by all things citrus. Luckily, what was lost to history has recently been re-found and a world of mixology magic awaits you! * Most drinks that call for a balance between sweet and sour use some combination of citrus fruits and/or citric acid, creating a very similar-tasting world of cocktails. Acid phosphate provides the tart, sour note that people love, but leaves the citrusy tang out of the equation. This allows the true flavor of your boozy beverage (or non-alcoholic sparkling soda) to come to the forefront of your drinking experience. * Embrace the past and bring your cocktails back to the future with a secret ingredient that shouldn't be such a secret: acid phosphate! * Specs - Size: 8 oz.

Can’t wait to use this!
Just received the product, have not tried it yet. However, the bottle I received is different from one shown. It is absolutely wonderful. I would buy this again just for the bottle! Hopefully the phosphate soda will be a Mental Balm to Nervous Perturbations and Neuralgic Dissipation.

Old time soda fountain!
As a kid, one of my most cherished memories was going to the drugstore soda fountain and ordering a vanilla phosphate. This product description mentions it was gone by the 50's, but in my little town in southern Ohio they definitely had them I to the early 70s

Perfect for old soda fountain receipes
I've used this to re-create some of the old soda fountain recipes I was too young to enjoy during their heyday. This product allows you to add the perfect amount of taste-free sour without having to use citric acid which can add a citrus taste to your beverage. I purchased this from KegWorks and the first bottle I received had a small leak from a loose cap; I let them know about the issue through Amazon and they, quite without me asking, sent out a replacement shipment. Kudos to KegWorks for expedient shipping and excellent customer service. This acid phosphate is perfect for home beverage experimenters and mixed drink tinkerers alike, you will not be disappointed, plus how can you not like anything that comes in a cobalt blue glass jar?I received the replacement shipment promptly and intact. Thank you KegWorks, I will definitely do business with you again and won't hesitate to recommend your products to friends and associates.

Tasty additive but watch out for leaks!
Like many here I've been experimenting with making healthy sodas (or soft drinks as we call them in Texas). Currently I'm using plain carbonated water and Stur water enhancers. 1/2 teaspoon of Acid Phospate added to a 12 oz drink makes a big difference and is very tasty. Recommended.I knocked off 1 star because I also had leakage! I did not lose much but there was definite liquid in the package. I'm not sure why the manufacturer is having such an issue with this.

expensive poor packaging diluted!
Water is the first ingredient of a product that cost $4 an ounce. It leaked about an ounce. Takes 20 shakes per pint. I work in a bar and am always looking for new flavors .The drinks were well received but we could not charge enough to pay for itself.

A Little Touch of Magic
Give this a taste test... make one homemade soda without phosphate and another with. The difference is astounding with just a couple of drops. If you know the difference that a dash or two of bitters makes in a cocktail... same thing here! The bottle will last a very long time. Totally worth the money!

Old school awesome
This stuff is great. Adds a real citrus flavor kick to home made sodas, and really adds something that straight syrup soda lacks.
