giftee - a fisherman, loved it. i read a bit of it, too. had fished as a kid. dad was fisherman. liked it, funny, light, just the thing to read when you can't go fishing or wish to quote it to show that fishing is more than a hobby, but a serious endeavor not to be taken lightly - with nature, oneself, others, armed with just a pole and one's wits and patience. trying find on the end of the line .... whatever your luck, skill, or endeavor leads you to. no time for writing when the fish are biting. good luck.just wanted to add: light anecdotes while waiting for the big one to bite. not like that dreary moby dick where the big one takes your leg and then some.
