Great protection for both your pets and vehicle.
This seat extender is really great. It's very well made and smartly designed. It does a great job of protecting your seats as well as keeping pets secure and comfortable. I really like the height of it as well. It does a great job of keeping my dogs from attempting to jump into the front seats. Easily folds to a nice size for storing in the trunk. It's a win for this dog lover.

This thing is great - much better than a regular hammock/sling
We take our dogs everywhere with us. We have long had the more traditional hammock/sling setup without the extender that can support the dogs weight. The extenders are great. Without them we have always felt it necessary to put pillows or something in the footwell, to provide a more stable platform for them. That is kind of a pain, and over time whatever you stuff down in there starts to smell like dogs. I was very pleasantly surprised by the design of this. The handles that go in between the top/bottom of the rear seat provide a lot of stability. Including the seat belts is a nice extra. Overall, this allowed us to get some clutter out of our car and I think the dogs are safer overall. As far as installation goes, I might suggest putting the seat belt into the receptacle before you put this into the vehicle. Ours are slanted forward and with this fully installed it was tricky to get my hand down in there to get the seat belts clipped in, and then thread it through the opening. Two things to watch out for on the design. First, the straps that go around the headrests do not secure. They need another thing to thread the loop through. We ended up putting some velcro on the strap to keep it from sliding. Without that the vertical section behind the drivers area can become slack. Also, the product description does not list the dimensions. This would fit better in a smaller vehicle. We have a 3 row Palisade. It is a couple of inches short on either side. Not a big deal, it just means when the dogs jump in/out their claws will hit the seat. We put a towel down to protect the seat from their claws. This is about 54" wide and would have fit our Subaru just about perfectly. Still, for the price, this thing is much, much better than what we had going before and I can easily live with it being a few inches shorter than I might like. My one star deduction was for not having the product dimension in the description, and the lack of ability to lock the length of the straps that go over the headrests.

High quality fabric, sturdy base plates, folding design, universal fit - great seat cover/extender
This is a pretty excellent seat cover and extender to give your dog more room and a sturdy platform and help keep them safer (though you absolutely still need a harness and crash tether). The fabric, as described, is high quality and tough, and the backing has small non-slip plasticized studs that help keep it in place and avoid shifting around. The base plates are the corrugated plastic sheets you see that make up things like election signs, and they fit into tightly-zippered pouches on the bottom. There are six plates total and they don't lock together, so the bottom is not completely rigid but its firm. It has rubberized handles/bars that push into the gap between the back and base of the seat bench to help hold it in place, and then has attachments around the entire upper perimeter - back, sides, and front - that attach to seat headrests and overhead door handles/hooks. Note that the product pictures are stylized, and the surface fabric the dog is in contact with is more of a quilted design/pattern. There are two pass-though points to attach tethers to seat belt clips, closed with velcro by default. The kit does include two tethers made of webbing, but the metal seatbelt insert is pretty lightweight and the buckles are a thin plastic so personally I won't be using them - I have a higher quality adjustable tether for my dog already. Overall construction is quite sturdy and the attachment points have good stitching so I don't expect tearing. The attachment loops are all nylon webbing, but the attachment/adjustment components are plastic so there's the most likely eventual failure point. One thing I really like about this version is that it is VERY customizeable for vehicle size. The attachment points all adjust, and the extender can actually be partially-folded while in use, reducing it from as much as the whole back seat to just a single individual seat. It's really easy to convert, so its not a hassle if you need to make room back there for human passengers. For that matter, because there are seatbealt pass-throughs, for short term use your could detach it from the forward head rest, fold the front plate down, unzip the side, and a human can sit on it with the base and back still in place. The side panels both zip up/down, so they don't have to be used and can be folded out of the way if not desired. If I have one criticism, aside from the tethers, its that the base deck is pretty firm and could use more padding for longer car rides. You'll probably want to throw a thin dog bed or a blanket in there for your furry friend's comfort.Overall, a really well-made and versatile seat cover/extender for dogs in the back seat. At time of review, it's listed at $150 CAD with a 50% off coupon, bringing the final price to $75 CAD. At the sale price this is an excellent value for a seat cover and I'll happily give it five stars, BUT I'd reduce that to 4 at full price because I think $150 for this is quite a bit more than what the materials and construction are actually worth and the value diminishes considerably.

Easy To Set Up, Easy To Clean
I have tested a large handful of these products in recent times. I have to say where this one stands out is the material its built out of.Typically I could clean these all very easily minus the dog hair. Our dogs hair would get stuck in the seems and make the dog cover look dirty all the time. This one that was no issues. With the material the dog hair would of course still pile up, but it wouldn't stick to the material, so I was able to either vacuum it up complete or even get it off with a damp cloth. This has to be the biggest plus side for me to point out for this one compared to others. When it comes to functionality it works great. It takes a bit to get use to it, and just finding the easiest way to maneuver it through your car and along your back seats. But once I got it down pat the entire set up took me about 2 minutes. Which I find is key. The last thing anyone needs is an additional issue.Once set up it provided complete protection and coverage of the entire back area. Doors, Rear seats, and driver seats.I also liked that there was a zippered area right at the center console, so you could zip down that small area if you would like to allow your dog to come forward a bit.All zippers were well built, and I didn't have any catching or splitting when using this, and the build quality is overall really good.I can recommend this product.

Easy to put into place and easy maintenance
We already have a backseat seat cover but the one we had just covered the seats to keep them clean from paws that played in the grass and mud and didn't have the extension to cover the area between the back seats and front seats. I really love that this model covers that area as well and not only it gives additional sleeping/chilling space to the dogs but it also prevents them falling to the floor of the car if we suddenly brake. It was easy to put into place and didn't take long.In terms of maintenance I vacuumed and spot cleaned it with a damp cloth so far but good to know that I could also put it in the washer if it gets very dirty. The fact that the fabric colour is dark helps to make it look cleaner longer. The product arrived wrapped in simple plastic, with no name, no pictures, no description. I'm ordering for myself so that's totally okay since I know what I ordered but if you are ordering this to gift it then perhaps you need to add a little note to explain the product.

Lovely back seat extender
It allows a comfortable resting space for dogs.It covers the gap between the front and rear seats so that dogs can no longer fit through it.With its unique layer design, this car seat protector keeps the backseat dry and clean. The reinforced and wider strap buckle makes it more sturdy. This backseat cover also has two large-capacity storage pockets for your dog's toys and snacks. Overall, this is a good backseat extender.

Well made, sturdy and great quality.
This is a great back seat extender. It's very well made and sturdy. The ad states it can hold up to 400lbs. I haven't put that much weight on it, but I did sit on it with my daughter and it was holding our weight together with no problems.I originally had this in mind for my mom's elderly dog, giving him better space when he has to go to the vets but he wasn't comfortable with it (no offense to the product, he's just a weird dog) but now I've thought about it some more and it would be great for a road trip too and having a bit of extra space for sleeping if needbe.Either way, it's a fantastic product and I am looking forward to the adventures we experience in the future having this product to help us out with those adventures :)
