It's pretty "cool"
Had an SSD that was running pretty hot so I bought this to help out, droped the average running temperature of the SSD buy a lot. Assembly was a bit annoying but nothing difficult.

Keeps nvme ssd cool
This is great at keeping the ssd cool. We did notice a dramatic difference in temperature before and after install. Great looking cooler as my son does have a plexiglass pc case and the red color is great. Came with all the necessary screws to make install a breeze.

Won't fit in most external USB enclosures
This is a substantial heatsink for M.2 SSDs. It has two thermal pads for above and below the SSD. The heatsink appears to be of high quality parts and workmanship. It's quite large though. I doubt it will fit in most external USB enclosures for M.2 SSDs. I don't have the means to measure how cool it keeps the SSD in operation but with two thermal pads and a hefty hunk of aluminum heat sink it should do well.
