From the start it felt cheaply made. Used lightly for a few months and the small amount of glue and tiny brad nails holding it together gave way. For all the tension on this machine, I would have thought that they would use more glue and maybe some heavy duty screws to fasten parts together. Very poor quality for almost $500.

I bought this to cut cardboard as stated in the description. I tried cutting 90 point cardboard, but was disappointed. Six inches into a cut the board on the trimmer buckles. The board on the trimmer needs to be more rigid to cut 30 inches, I have had no success cutting anywhere close to 30 inches. After speaking with Martin Yale they were surprised the description said cardboard, then after mentioned the cardboard I'm trying to cut was too thick. I also noticed that the scores on the board was not a accurate for measurement as I would like. I'm giving it a 2 star because cutting a few sheets of paper it's really easy to cut, and I was able to modify it a bit to do some simple cuts for my 90 point cardboard.

Have used this cutter for industrial use for 5 years now, it has done nothing but work.This is the kind of quality that made America what it is over the years. Thanks for making such a great product!

Paper is not cardboard. This works great.We use this at work and it cuts very good even at it the very end. The company that I work for has one on the shop floor and after 6 months of abuse its still works great, That's why I bought one for my wife.

Couldn’t recommend to anyone based on my experience. Blades bent with a chunk of blade missing. Can’t cut straight. Had to contact Martin Yale for replacement parts which was a hassle. For this kind of price it should be perfect and precise, this instead is marginally accurate. It’s only acceptable if you have no desire to cut anything straight.
