I got this pillow because the down pillows I’ve been using for years just aren’t firm enough for my neck. This pillow, just out of the package, is very impressively made. And impressively packaged, which actually says a lot about the quality of a product — and about the company. The Queen size is quite large (maybe because I’ve been using Standard-sized pillows), and the material covering the pillow is very smooth to the touch. But the most impressive thing about the manufacturing of the pillow is the zipper on the pillow cover. That’s no cheap zipper.I’m familiar with cooling fabrics — fabrics that dissipate heat (measured against cotton, for example). I’m a big fan of these fabrics. The Sleep Zone “Pillowcase” is made with Q-Max 0.5 fabric. Q-Max 0.5 cooling technology refers to a fabric's ability to transfer heat away from the skin, offering a cooling sensation when touched. A Q-Max of 0.5 indicates excellent cooling capability and is ideal for warm climates or individuals prone to overheating. It’s a top-tier option for products designed to keep you cool and comfortable.But here’s what took me a couple of days to realize: the “pillowcase” that comes with the pillow IS the Q-Max 0.5 fabric. That means you shouldn’t put your own pillowcase over it. The problem is, I don’t really want to wash (and put back on) the super-tight-fitting Q-Max fabric pillowcase that came with the pillow. But that’s my judgement call to make.The first night I slept with this pillow, it took me a little while to get used to it. But as soon as I got used to it, I was down for the count. I only turned once all night. And when I woke up, I had zero neck pain. And I never woke up my husband punching the pillow because I never had to punch the pillow. I’ve been sleeping on the Sleep Zone Pillow for about a week now, and I love it. I’m not going back to down anytime soon.

This SLEEP ZONE Cooling Memory Foam Pillow is fantastic. It has great comfort, support, and even the packaging was beautiful (great for gifting). From the moment I used it, I was thrilled that it lived up to its promise of being completely odor-free. Unlike other memory foam pillows, there’s no unpleasant smell. The environmentally friendly production process helps me feel like I am doing my part for the planet. It also stays cool, fresh and breathable all night, even when it’s hot in the room. I can see that it is good for temperature regulation and will be fantastic for summer. I don’t need to flip the pillow over to find the cool side, which I normally do a LOT. It stays comfortable throughout the night. It is not as thick as other memory foam pillows, which I like. Those have always been too hard on my neck. This one is the perfect thickness. It has the ideal balance of softness and support, and contours nicely to my head and neck. It relieves pressure and I have had some truly restful and pain-free nights with it. I think this pillow is ideal for hot sleepers, environmentally conscious people, or anyone who prioritizes high-quality sleep. To me sleep is essential so I go out of my way to find tools to improve my sleep. This one gets an A!

I was really hoping for something special with this pillow but I find it to be about average and maybe even a bit below what I would buy at Kohls or Target. Not really impressed at all.

It can be harder to find large memory foam pillows and I was able to get this in king size which was good. It came vacuum packed and rolled up. I unpacked it in the afternoon and it returned to normal size by bedtime, not sure exactly how long it took, but no more than a few hours. The quality seems good, there were not any manufacturing issues, and it looks as pictured.I did find this pillow to be a bit stiffer than other memory foam pillows. After a couple minutes laying on it, one's head does sink in comfortably, but if you move to a different spot, it once again feels a little stiff. This doesn't bother me too much, but some may not like that aspect.One thing that was odd, is that the zippered cover on the pillow is slick and caused my pillow case to move around and partially come off over time. This was a little annoying.Overall it's okay. Pillows are pretty subjective so what works great for one person may not work for another. I'm sure I'll get some good use out of it.
