This means that whatever you fix them to, the background, through the cut outs, is what is decorating that wall. There are simply no rules about which side you mount them or in which orientation or in which arrangement. They are simply pretty cool to look at.Just to make life easy, each of the 4 packs has 4 wall plugs and 4 screws. All you need is a drill, a pencil and a level. Marking out holes on the wall is quite straight forward as these pieces are sturdy, but quite thin, so almost like a stencil. Something to clarify. If you are looking at the picture on the product page, the screws are silver. In the pack, they are actually black.Nice artwork and it's up to you how you want them on your wall.
