It works but I sent it back
I got this because I already have a Galco Jackass rig and because the price was fairly low compared to what others were offering. You get a box that has 3 pieces in it; a strap that connects to the magazine pouch which has a belt loop, a strip of snap heads that connect to the holster and a belt loop that connects to the strip of snap heads. The strip that connects to the holster has 4 different snap heads on it so you can adjust how high the holster rides. If the holster is lower the excess snaps simply lie behind the belt loop where they won't snag on something and come undone. The magazine pouch has a plastic loop on the back side that swivels down so the it can be attached to its belt loop with a snap. When used the straps do a good job of anchoring the mag pouch and holster to the belt so well that I could sprint, jump or even roll on the floor without worrying about the holstering whipping around or bouncing all over the place. While the snaps have some good flexibility when you bend forward if you were to twist your torso left or right you'll get some marginal resistance. Reaching your arms upward will drag your pants upwards too since the leather straps do not stretch. The reasons that I sent these back were because the magazine pouch has to sit just above the belt line and because even at the longest setting the holster strap was too short to reach the belt on the holster side. While I absolutely could adjust the shoulder straps to give me some more slack I prefer the mag pouch and holster on my rig to be higher up because it's more comfortable for me. I wouldn't say it's a defect because everything was well made and it does what it's supposed to do but I think they could have designed it better. If they made the mag pouch piece like they did the holster with a strip that had an adjustable length and a longer strip for the holster side this could be used by taller people like myself or anyone else who prefers to have the holster positioned higher up.

As advertised
I’ve worn my Galco shoulder holster for 25 years without using the tie-downs. I’ve thought about using them but just never really felt they were necessary. I just bought a new set of straps for the shoulder system and decided to finally give the tie downs a try. Should have ordered them from the start all those years ago. While I still say they are not absolutely necessary, the system is even more comfortable and concealable with them. I’m now able to wear with a lighter weight unbuttoned shirt as the holster and mag carrier hold much more tight to my body without having to worry about the shirt being pushed out by holster/mag carrier movement. Item arrived quickly and on time. Works as advertised.

Never saw this happen before.
I'm giving this 3 stars until I see how Galco handles this situation.Yesterday I recieved and installed the tiedown straps on my jackass rig.Today, the screw holding the male snap portion of the snap assembly, pulled through the snap itself and the male end got stuck in the female end on the tiedown.I have contacted Galco for a replacement chicago screw and snap.I will update later.Update; I received a phone call from Galco. They're sending a replacement part and requested that I send photos of the failed item. They are contacting their supplier to ensure there is no issue with snap assemblies. I should recieve my part in a week or so.I recieved my replacement part well ahead of the expected arrival date. Galco has done a phenomenal job servicing their customers. I will definitely continue to do business with Galco.

Not for the tall
This tie down set is OK. It would work much better on a shorter person. I'm 6'2" and the only way that I can use it is to have the pistol and mag pouch hang waaaay down. This makes it print more. The gun and magazine pouch should be snug up under your armpit instead of hanging down and flopping all around.I've been using a Galco Classic Lite for a Kahr pistol for a few years, and recently got a Miami Classic for a M&P9c. I tried the holsters with the tie downs and without. I hated wasting the money, but in the end I took the tie downs off and threw them in a drawer. If you're short then these things will probably work great for you. If you like having your gun hang way down then they'll work well. If, however, you wear your shoulder holster with the gun snugly under your armpit (and there is a limit to how high you take it) then this won't work for you if you're 6'2".The exception may be if you're old, and pull your pants up to your nipples. In that case, you'll love these tie down sets.

Magazine strap is too short
Im 6'1" and 250lb. The gun strap length was fine but the magazine strap was too short and I had to lengthen the shoulder harness to extend the magazine to fit to the strap. The snaps holding the strap around the belt hold securely and are easy enough to undue when removing the harness.

The more I think of it
It's a great rig, but be prepared to spend time fine tuning the fit.I was disappointed to find that the tie downs were not included with the shoulder holster. Why wouldn't they include such a necessary part of the holster? Makes me feel like I've been taken advantage of.

Would not waste your time
When attached to my Galco classic light system the strap on the magazine side caused the loop on the magazine pouch to break. Would not trust this system for any kind of serious carry as it will let you down eventually.
