Fun gadget with a lot of potential for care homes
Quite sturdy design, easy to get up and running and nice features. Though I wouldn't call Misa a part of the family or a actual assistant in the house, it is a ton of fun to play with. I tested Misa with people with special needs. Though it had way more features than most of the 'social robots' that are marketed towards care facilities, there are still some things that make this electronic buddy not ready for full on daily use yet. For example:- internal hardware is a bit slow and outdated, which had an effect on how fluent the UI is and how fluent the responses are- it runs on Android 9. That raises some concerns on the security and longevity side of the product.- Though the mobile app is quite intuitive, it is also a bit limiting in terms of creating multiple users / family members- Specifically for international users: functionality in languages other than English are a bit limiting. I'm really hoping for a software update on that one! That being said, there's also a lot to like. Specifically for people with mental disabilities, these are some of the most useful features:- asking Misa daily stuff, like the weather.- storytelling.- small talk and entertainment to battle the feeling of loneliness.- educative games.- asking general questions (unit conversion, recipies, etc).- installing other Android appsSome features, like karaoke or kids videos/games are nice, but they're not really what I'm looking for in regards to adults with special needs. But since you can install any Android app I was able to customise Misa more towards my goal. For example: I installed the Routine Factory app to help with routines and skill building (see photo for an example). It's probably quite difficult to have the Misa assistant fully integrate with those apps, but that would really be a game changer. And even if that app is too much of a niche it still would make a huge difference if Misa can check your google calendar or todo-list. I'm not sure if they're still developing updates or new versions of Misa, but I'm excited to see what's possible in the next version. In conclusion: this is a solid robot with tons of features. Misa works best in English, the assistant is quite limiting in other languages (to be fair: it does say 'beta' for other languages). Due to the lightweight processor and memory Misa does tend to respond a bit poorly, but that's usually fixed by restarting the app. I really love the fact that you can also install other Android apps! This makes Misa really versatile. Misa is fun and reasonably priced, though I'd love to see a version with better hardware, up-to-date OS and a more modern AI assistant.

Super cool robot friend!
This Misa 2: AI-Powered Smart Robot for Kids was fairly simple to setup out of the box. It connected to the wifi and downloaded apps without any issue. The quality of material feels pretty heavy duty and it's an extremely fun toy! The battery life is decent as well. This would make a great gift for kids 12 and under I would say.

Not worth it
Would look for something that is better than this, at this price point it’s not worth it.

Excellent
As an 80s kid who dreamed of a robot buddy this thing pushes all my nostalgia buttons. At its heart it's basically an AI powered tablet on wheels, but while it isn't perfect it *feels* like the robot I dreamed of as a kid.I'm still feeling it out for now, but so far my nephew is amazed that it can speak (very good) French. He's Mongolian and can speak conversational English and French, and while my English is native this little guy outpaces me on the French. My little dude doesn't love his formal French lessons as he doesn't yet grasp how useful the language will be to him (we have family in France and he'll be spending a lot of his youth there), but he loves chatting away in French with the Misa 2. We've only had it 6 weeks and he's already noticeably improving, and becoming more interested.I'd like to see firmware updates to make the Misa a little less glitchy, though. I haven't had any huge problems but I can definitely see room for improvement, so I hope the manufacturer stays on top of the updates.

Cute and Looked Good, but......
We were super excited to received the Misa 2, AI-Powered Smart Robot for Kids | STEM Learning & Educational Robot | Interactive, Voice-Activated Robot with Learning Apps & Fun Games for Boys & Girls Aged 5-12 | Sky Blue.Overall a great looking build, although plastic it a fair weight and feel to it. I don't know how well if would do if it took a spill off the stair case, maybe impact on to a hard floor. We followed the instruction set ups. Although easy to understand. We weren't getting the responses, seemingly other's reviews are stating, or what the product videos were presenting. In fact, when you ask the prompts stated in the manual, Misa would look at you just blink and rolls its eyes up ward. We just were struggling to have a goo experience with Misa. Unfortately after 3-days of wasted time dinking. It went ack in the box and its where it sits today. Even after software updates and resetting defaults. Nothing seemed to work.3-stars for design and quality build. The 2 starts deducted for overall functionality and what seemingly AI .. wasn't.If the product would work the way we think is should work, or at least how the product is presented in the videos, then it would a great gift value. But, our Misa would never get to a point to prove it. I just cannot see a value and just CAN'T respectfully recommend it to others. Sadly, truly an expensive mis-experience.We never got to use the full potential value of Misa so I cannot speak battery-life, because kept it powered to the power cord during setups and resetting process

Good quality and less than expected functionality!
The media could not be loaded. I like the design and appearance of this robot. I found it easy to use, but I have mixed feelings about its functionality and the integration of AI in this machine, especially considering the rapid advancements in this field. The screen size is good but would is not loud enough. I believe it struggles to move on carpets and performs better on hard floors. Overall, it’s a good robot, but at this price point, I was expecting something more advanced!
