The Plug & Play I Have Been Looking For!
I have tried a few different plug and play head units for my 2019 RAV4 XLE over the years and so far this one is light years ahead of the others.Other units I’ve used in the past have Bluetooth connectivity issues, horrible sound quality, pixilated screens, slow boot up times, and countless annoying bugs.I just installed this today, it was very simple and straightforward. All in all it probably only took about 15-2O minutes. The screen boots up and connects to my Apple CarPlay in 8-9 seconds. My last unit took about 30-90 seconds depending on its mood that day, or it just wouldn’t connect at all.I’m not seeing any issues with this unit whatsoever. The quality of the screen is amazing. The software is truly lightning quick. The sound quality and volume work great on my aftermarket speakers. The reverse camera and steering wheel controls work great. I feel like I just upgraded from an iPhone 4 to the iPhone 15.I do have some concerns about the possibility of overheating. The unit is very thin, there isn't a bulky block of metal behind the screen like ones I’ve had in the past. Because of that, I can only assume that there isn’t a fan for cooling. I will update this review if I run into that issue or any other. One thing that is important to note is that I had to change the camera settings to get the stock reverse camera to work but it was a simple push of a button.Last thing I want to mention is that unlike other reviews on here I was not given a free unit for my review and I was not incentivized in any way.I hope this unit holds up and keeps performing because it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!

Works really well
Bought 2 head units. This one won. 2021 Rav4 XLE.+ Hooks up easily. It can feel like you're missing something when you don't plug in every cable.+ I get more data using this head unit, like tire pressure, warnings, and lines in backup camera.+ I don't use the mic because it kinda sucks. I'll have to work with either buying another one and/or mounting it better. There are some videos that I need to follow and see if they work.+ Great video+ Customer service is great. They sent me an update to Android Auto that I need to still install.-/+ Mostly snappy, but not annoyingly un-snappy. Definitely worth switching though.- Android Auto doesn't automatically start up, so whenever I start my car I have to press a button.- Google Maps doesn't switch dark/light mode automatically. I keep it on dark mode and that works well.- I'm hoping an update to Android Auto will take care of some of these issues.

Phone call latency
So first off let me say that the tech support and CS team for this stereo are great. they will work with you and respond to your requests. Heres the pros and cons in my opinion on this unitProsBeautiful displaynice featuresfactory backup camera improved.sound is 5x louder and clearer than stock unit36 band EQ (this could be a con for some as if you are not an expert on sound levels it is a tedious process to get the right levels. i have been tweaking it for a month and still not 100% satisfied)the overall look in the car is awesome. the guy that put it in said it looked like one that comes in the Mercedes. they were impressedCONSThe one thing and it sucks because to me it was an important one, is the call quality. I tried every combo available for the output. tried wired and wireless carplay, bluetooth calling tried turning off all wireless when going through wired carplay tried different phone different cable. all the same results. What is happening is there is a delay of 2-3 seconds of me talking to the other person hearing it. Bluetooth calling is a like 1-2 seconds so a little better but the call quality is better through carplay which unfortunately is still not a good as the stock stereo was. Since I use my phone a lot in the car I was hoping for something better since the rest of the stereo is awesome but unfortunately not.The company told me to send it back it must be defective. i don't think that is the case and I'm not taking the chance as i paid to have it put in and don't want to pay again for it when i get the new one back. So i guess I'm just going to live with it and hope for a software update down the road from them for a fix.If it wasn't such an important feature to me I would have given it a 5 but until they come out with a fix for it I will give it a 3. If the phone part is not important to you I would recommend it highly.

Absolutely not compatible with the 2019 RAV4
The instructions did not actually provide any guidance on wiring. The linked video and manual did not actually show the wiring process for the RAV4. I was able to figure it out, but 3 of the OEM cables didn't have a connection point on the harness. My RAV is not the Prime or the Hybrid; just the base model. I made sure of the compatibility prior to purchasing, so the issue is not on my end.The screen itself is ok and most of the systems worked, but the backup camera touchscreen controls were not usable, making the entire system pretty useless to me. I will be returning.
