Good 4U wall mounted rack
Great 4U rack for small office. I have punch down, switch, shelf with router and switch, and wire management system. The rack was easy to mount on wall. It is flexible, but not bad. Once loaded, I can push with my finger about 1/2 inch left or right. To get rid of the sideways monition would require much stiffer steal, making it a lot more expensive. Good price point. Most rack hardware is much more expensive than this item.Makes the space organized. Deep enough for a 10" shelf with enough room behind for wire routing. I work with full size racks on my job. This one is for my wife's office, so looks and cost are important.I notice others are saying the holes are not evenly spaced. The hole's in a rack are not supposed to be evenly spaced. Look up "19-inch rack" on Wikipedia, or other references. You have to line up U rack equipment on U rack boundaries.

Great for a value home network rack.
I bought this to hold 2 1u switches, a 1u patch panel and a 1u power strip. It is working excellent for that. The mounting holes are the right length apart to mount to the studs in a wall if the house is built to code. While I don't recommend it, it can hold more than the rated weight so strength is not a concern. If you need something for network devices, this is perfect.

Good bargain, everything lines up right. Some annoying flaws.
My bracket arrived yesterday, and met up with the wall in support of my structured network wiring project. Overall I feel this was a good value for the money, but it is an incredibly simple object that the shortcomings are sort of glaring. There really isn't much to say about it. It is a plain old piece of bent metal with some reinforced tapped holes, and a bunch of screws. You would think it wouldn't be that hard to get this dead right out of the box but there are some flaws. So here goes a pro / con analysis of this item.Pro:- Slotted holes for mounting to the wall are spaced exactly 16" between screw hole centers, this makes for mounting to stud walls incredibly easy.- Metal cuts / bends are smooth, and clean. No bad edges, no wavy bends etc... This was obviously done with the right equipment.- The device mounting screw holes are reinforced, meaning lots of beefy surface for the screws to bite into.- The device mounting screw holes are in the right place for each device.- The device mounting screw holes are cleanly threaded.- 42 decent quality, well finished attachment screws included, no need to buy added screws.- 7u size. An odd size for a wall mount bracket, but for my purposes, it is just about ideal...I am centralizing my home LAN, including an iSCSI SAN, KVM, cable modem, router, NAS disk, VoIP adapter, and a rack mounted power distribution unit. This provides just enough space to rack all of that stuff neatly, and professionally.- Wall mounted configuration. For SOHO network infrastructure installations, this is going to be hard to beat. Doesn't take up floor space, and will allow the installer / IT folks to install switches, routers, patch panels etc... and still keep the closet / office floor open for other uses such as free standing server / tape library installs.Con:- Lack of lateral bracing, the sides tend to bow as you assemble your devices on it. Simply put, by design, and mind you most of these types of brackets are like this, rely on your devices for added lateral bracing.- Packaging / Product protection from outside impact was poor, allowing minor damage (slight bend in the mounting surface rail on one side. It was easy to get dead flat, so not sending it back.).- Packaging / retaining internal parts and keeping the pieces from beating each other up was poor. The supply of screws was retained in by a zip tied minature ziplock type bag that busted through. So all 42 screws were flying around inside the box, leading to the next con...- Poor / damaged finish. I have over my IT professional career, worked around a LOT of network equipment racks. This has got to have the absolute WORST finish of any rack, or rackable device I have ever used. It just seems like the finish was applied in a single whisper thin coat. The errant screws inside the box simply did NOT help things at all leaving lots of scratches etc... on the finish. This leaves me the option of either returning my bracket for an undamaged one, but I suspect the finish on that will be just as poor, or to bite the bullet, and take this bracket to my workshop and spend a little bit of time and effort to prep and paint this thing with a couple of coats of black paint.- Thin gauge metal construction. Overall I have no suspicion that the construction won't live up to what I want it to do, but the thin gauge metal over such a large flat span does make for an overly flexy, and cheap feeling.Overall:This item kind of reminds me of a hammer from the cheap chinese import tool stores. It will do it's job, it's too simple to be that bad of a device, but it is also painfully obvious that it is just, well, cheap. It is built well enough to do its job and given a coat or two of cheap spray paint, will have a service life beyond when the actual current rack mounted technolgies are LONG obsolete. So yeah it is worth it's money, and I am simply picking nits here. The clean construction, accurate hole location, solid screw thread reinforcement, clean threading etc... Start us off at 5 stars. The poor packaging, and thin metal construction knock it down 1 star, and I am leery of knocking it for something so petty, many other wall relay rack type brackets are similar, I just feel it should be better, but for the $$ what should I expect right? A half of a star off would be more accurate. And even that is picking nits. The incredibly poor finish however pushes my rating down another full star plus, close to 2 stars, making me more comfortable knocking it a star for the other. Meaning two stars total knocked off for the bracket itself. The inclusion of the screws, and the overall quality of those screws though, buys back one of those stars based on quality, perceived value, and the assurance / convenience knowing you have enough screws to fill every single threaded screw hole in this bracket without worrying about if the size is right...Had they packaged this so that the screws weren't dancing around in the shipping box, and the lip hadn't gotten that slight curl in the UPS van, and had they given this a proper painted finish, I would have happily given this a full 5 star rating.Compared to competitive brackets, the construction is about the same barring the sub standard finish, the inclusion of the attaching screws is a huge bonus, and the overall price tag makes this a winner. Given the time to give these a proper finish, these would make a great bracket for SOHO network infrastructure closet brackets.

Nice basic rack mount
Nice finish (which wasn't chewed up by screws in shipment), good build quality, and does what it's supposed to do.

Nice 7U rack!
First thing I noticed was that the screws were all loose rattling around...oops. I counted and not only were they all there, but there were 2 extra. No screws to mount to the wall...too many possibilities, so you're on your own. Once out of the package it looked like the threaded nut inserts were all skewed left and right and not spaced evenly. So I tried racking some stuff to see if it was gonna be a keeper. Sure enough, it all fits and there are no issues filling all 7 slots. Also the edges and corners are all finished well. You won't cut yourself on this rack. Can't wait to get my switch and mount this to the wall!

Worked out great
Perfect for my setup. Installed with some molly/anchors in drywall and holding a lightweight switch, patch panel, cable management, and tray which will eventually hold DVR, PoE injector and power. If I had one gripe it would be that its a little flimsy horizontally

Great Starting Point
Decided to install a 14 drop CAT 6 network in my home. Used this to mount 16 port patch panel, HPE 16 port switch and a shelf. Depth was perfect for the wire to come in behind the switch (on top) to the patch panel. A little wobbly before adding the components, but very solid once everything screwed in. Included screws are solid.

Filmsy
Package was a mess in shipping box. Screws were loose and scratched the bracket. When I finally opened and hung it this was discovered along with how flimsy it was even after mounted on wall. took forever to get, would of returned it but I trusted the brand Monoprice as I trusted this brand from past experiences. I waited till I had all my parts to move home network location from garage to interior of home before I opened it.Update 2/11/23 I had to replace it, We had a minor 1.3 earthquake and this rack warped, metal bent and cracked. Had to take it down and replace it with with a local supplier, in the end I tried to save a buck but it cost me more in the end.

good value
For a basic wall mount rack, this is well made, comes with mounting hardware and seems quite sturdy.

Bought two both fit one over the other fine and mounted into toggle bolts like a breeze
First one came missing screws. Bought two both fit one over the other fine and mounted into toggle bolts like a breeze. Kind of wobbly side to side once populated.

Does the job
Not the most rigid if pushed left to right. Also not deep enough to fit my UDM Pro. I needed to use a couple washers to fit it in the rack even with also buying a right angle power cord.

A little flimsy, but ok product overall.
First one received had no screws and has some scratches on it, basically looked like it was returned/used. Received a replacement from Amazon and set it up this past weekend, easy to install but similar to the other reviews I found it to be a little flimsy. Would prefer if it was a bit stronger, but will work for my home setup.
