VIPERTEK VTS-979 Stun Gun with Safety Disable Pin LED Flashlight

Very nice. You can tell by the feel of the gun that it's made nice and sturdy. Works as it should. Scary! I think I got the one I've been looking for.

I’m a victim of a vicious dog attack of two years ago. I never leave my house anymore without something to help me if I find myself in this situation again. Since the dog attack, dogs have come at me and my dogs 20 more times (I’m counting). My cousins husband suggested I get this one. He found out about it on some other site. I’m glad to have it since my big one in a stick style broke. It works well as every time I’ve pressed it, it’s been ready to shock! It’s easy to use and fits great in my Fanny pack I use for walking. I feel like I can grab it and use it quickly without having to figure it out.

I ordered 2 and after charging both are working as expected. The flash light is bright enough in the dark and the tazer works as expected and fits well in the hand. However, the only thing is that I haven't tested it to know how powerful it is.

Purchased this for walking with my dog at night and I love the flashlight function. I rarely forget it when walking because the flashlight makes it more versatile than just as a protection device. Makes a loud sparky sound too and is really easy to switch to from the flashlight function (even with gloves on). Haven’t needed to use the the tazer function yet thankfully but the few times I’ve hit the button as a warning to someone nearby who was giving me the creeps it was loud and they quickly went a different way. I also like the safety pin function a lot. Lightweight and holds a charge for a long time. Not super compact though and the sparkers are pretty pointy so gets caught in my pocket sometimes, hasn’t ripped anything but definitely need to be mindful that it could.

bought several tazers ( am comparing 3)...1. $9 Tactical Force Max Power for the "cheetah" teeth, and its light, and had a clip, and says 300 some lumens. This is my least favorite stun gun, it IS light, I keep it in my jeep. But the zap is weak, the flashlight is ok, and the clip comes off, there is no indicator light when charged.2. $14 VIPERTEK VTS-979 - Great for my mom and wife because of the removable safety PIN, there really wasn't a better option. They are both careful with things, so it will work fine. The front prong/pins are wobbly, and can break off through the plastic, if it were to fall. I would break it instantly because I rough with things. The flashlight is the weakest of the 3.3. $25 SABRE Tactical Stun Gun - by far the most understated. My favorite...10 times more powerful than tactical force, sturdy built, it will not break if dropped. The flashlight says 120 lumens...but it is brighter than the 300 lumen tactical force, it has a REAL belt clip. It would drop someone for sure. I will be using this the most. I still might not get this for my wife, because of the lack of a safety pin.I also really liked the $25 Viper VST 989 (not pictured/listed) - for my dad. Weak flashlight, great for someone who can wield it, without asafety pin.I spent hours comparing for my christmas gift ideas... Thought this would help someone.

Great purchase for protection

Kinda hard to review this since ai have never used it. but as for as the size and zap it releases I have to go with five stars fits in hand great easy to turn on/off and has a wrist strap so you can’t drop it.
