Deadlift grips, yes. Pull-up grips, no.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Most grips are useless to me because pull-ups rip the skin on the underside of my ring finger, which is not protected by most pull-up grips. These looked like the perfect solution. Unfortunately, they just don't feel secure enough for use with pull-ups - but they do have a lot of other gym applications. We swapped to using them for deadlifts and they worked really well. They gave plenty of protection for hands, especially over existing tears. We're going to each keep a pair in our gym bags for those days when your hands are already beat up and you need to do bar work or farmer's carries.Pros: Well made, very thick neoprene, with lots of protection for your hands. The fit is great (my husband wears the medium). The stitching is fantastic. You can tell these will last a long time. The strap around the wrist is sturdy and gives you extra support if you were to use these for ground-to-overhead work that might strain your wrists.Cons: They're actually a little TOO thick. He felt like he couldn't get a good grip because the neoprene was too thick, especially for kipping or butterfly pull-ups where you're rotating a lot around the bar and the risk of coming off the bar is higher. Yes, the grips do have rubber padding that helps hold you on - and likely the grip would hold - we just both felt a little nervous using these.

Great WOD grips
My initial set finally gave out on me and I just ordered a second set. First set lasted me 1 year and 10 months. Much longer than I had anticipated given that I use these 4-6 days a week. Great for kettlebell and pull-up bar type work. The pull-up station has a diamond shape pattern on the bar and without these grips my hands get torn up really bad.

Size was too small and silicon padding peels off quickly
I'm returning mine. After using Mava gloves for a long time, I thought it was time to try another brand but unfortunately, that was a mistake. Not only the sizing was off (I wear small gloves everywhere else and Emerge's small was more like Extra-Small), the silicon layer started to peel off right after my first and only training session wearing these gloves today. A few chest to bar pull-ups and that was it... I'm not giving them a 1-star because this might have a good use for some people, but for me, it was actually zero-star.

they are GREAT for using the bar to do back and shoulder work outs,
I originally purchased these to work on Kipping for Toes to Bar, but they have quite the grip to them. So it was hard to get my hand to move around the bar back and forth while swinging without them bunching up. BUT...that are GREAT for just strict pull ups, dead lifts, and any other movement when your hands stay stationary and just need a good grip.I really enjoy these! I'm glad I made the purchase.!

VERY IMPRESSED
For the price point, I was not expecting to be wowed, but man am I wowed. lol Not only is the quality great and they are very comfortable, (can even fit around my wrist while keeping my apple watch on to track my workout). But most importantly the customer service was amazing I still get emails from the company that are educational on not only how to use these gloves I bought but other items as well.

No More Blisters
Fit my 7 year old perfectly (with a little room to grow). She was getting blisters at Ninja Warrior Training (yes, you read that correctly). We got these gloves because gym chalk just wasn't doing the job. She loves them because they look cool, and as long as you don't put them on too tight, they are comfy. The only drawback is that they aren't grippy enough for monkey bars or chin ups. They cause her to slip. She just takes them off for those activities though, and puts them back on when she needs them. No more blisters!

Good for lifting, bad for pull-ups
Great overall Crossfit grips; I use them for lifting. I've noticed the wrist support on them has been helpful as well. Recently was working on pull-up kipping and recalled the reason I got these grips: to help protect my rips and give a little more cushion....bad idea on trying to use them for pull ups. After gripping the bar, my hands slipped right around to the underside. It's almost like you can't get the grip pulled tight enough across your palm.

They seemed ok
I returned these but I felt like they would be good for lifting like advertised. I was hoping to use them to grip machines when my hands sweat but they are kind awkward to wear.
