It lets you dance with your dog
Our dog loves the rope tug game, but it's hard to hold a short rope, while your pup has it in the jaws of death. This $18.00 toy solved our problems and opened up a wonderful new way to play. Now I can easily manipulate the tug rope as I play with our pup. I can hold it above, twirl it over my head, let it drag on the ground or slowly lead it, as he then leaps into the air to catch it. He can't get enough of it. I have to hold it over my head to get outside, as he is already jumping in the air to try to catch it. Once you get going, it's almost a dance with your dog, as you twirl and manipulate the tug rope around our dog. I do recommend, that when he gets the tug rope in a death grip - use your free hand to grab the leading line to make sure the wand handle doesn't bend. Best $18.00 spent.

Overall good for moderate energy dogs
Have bought several of these from this seller over the last few years. They have held up well for daily use with my two moderately crazy corgis. They prefer the chase and likely this would not be good for larger dogs that want to tug. However the most recent one I bought fell apart after about a month, after the return window closed. Hopefully this was a one off.

Prefect for my active puppy
Did you bring home a herding dog that has nothing but brooms, mops, leaves, and vacuums to boss around? Is your dog obsessed with squirrels and birds? Are you desperately trying to find a choking-hazard free alternative to a feather wand that you can let your dog play with before you waste another seven bucks at petco on a toy that's meant for your cat? Does your pup love to jump but hasn't quite figured out the finesse that it takes to catch a frisbee? Does your dog have more energy than your morning walks can snuff out?If you answered yes to any of these situations, this is an awesome $12.99 solution. We have a 4 month old Australian Shepard puppy and she gets super bored, super fast, and has buckets of energy. I really needed a positive solution. I purchased the large size since our puppy won't be small much longer.I waited all day for UPS to drop this off, and within an hour of it showing up on my doorstep, I was super pleased with this purchase. The contents include the wand, two tassels, and no-fuss instructions. The collapsed wand and tassels are about 16 inches long. The rope of the wand is about 37 inches long and the extended wand is about 34 inches long. It's simple enough to lock/unlock in to the extended position, with dots that line up to show if it's locked or not. It's easy to connect the tassel to the wand, but I plan on keeping the instructions just in case I forget. This is definitely an outside-only toy. And I highly recommend keeping clear of tree branches and cars, I accidentally tangled the tassel in some low hanging branches. It's much easier to use of the wand is fully extended. The large size was prefect for my puppy. She is about 24 inches high.My puppy went *nuts* for this toy. I have never seen her so focused and so happy to play with anything. In fact, she was so engaged, she forgot to stop to take a potty break and peed mid-jump! This is the first activity we've done (besides going to the dog park) that has completely worn her out. (She is zonked out as I'm writing this!)Some things I have noticed during our first play session with this toy: The wand will unlock itself while I wave it around. It doesn't collapse, but I did have to keep locking it. (For that reason alone I feel like I can't give it 5 stars, as this is a brand new toy.) The tassel is *not* as sturdy as a tug rope. It's a bit more loose than a standard tug rope, and it gives a little when my puppy tugs on it. This is not meant to be a tug toy. The directions do explain that. What I did when my puppy caught the tassel and locked her mouth around it, I just grabbed the tassel as close to her mouth as I could, placed the wand on the ground, and waited for her to release. (Which is great because "release" is the newest command we've been teaching her.) I included a picture. I'm only 5'2 and the length of this wand wasn't a problem for me, just give yourself plenty of room!Over all, our first use of this toy was a lot of fun for both me and my dog. I think it'll be a great addition to our walk routine, and will be something fun for her to release some of her energy. I'm happy with this purchase!

Favorite Exercise Toy
My new Jack Russell pup loves to chase this toy. It’s a great way to give them the exercise they need.

My dog's favorite toy!
This is my dog's favorite toy!! We have a boxer mix who is very energetic. We can run her for miles and she still has energy to spare. We got this because our trainer suggested it. We will never go back. She LOVES it and it wears her out after just a few minutes. We use it as both a play toy and a training tool so it stimulates her brain and wears out her body. It did break not too long after we got it because our dog is pretty strong and an aggressive chewer, but for small dogs it should be just fine! It also isn't that expensive to replace so we weren't too upset about it.

My dog loved it. But broke and smacked him in the eye.
My 6 month old puppy loved chasing and trying to catch it, It was a good way to waste his energy for bed. Once he caught the toy he tugged it hard and it snapped and smacked him right in the eye causing him to jump and screech. He did get a bit of a cut underneath his eye from it. I do recommend if you buy this toy make sure your pet doesn’t catch it or get a more durable one.

Okay.. broke a week later.
I know this toy is ment for a teasing toy but my dog likes to chew on it and pull it.A week later we were playing with her and she broke it with not even that much force. We tied it back on and we still use it but it's not really attached well. Not good quality. The rope started falling a part a few days later. Not recommend.. 😕

flirt pole
great for training but pole sections continually loosen and sometimes are difficult to tighten which is annoying when you are trying to keep the pole extended and tight.
