Full confession, this is not my first mattress purchase online and I did not buy this for my main bed. A couple of years ago I picked up a mattress from one of those more expensive (actually much more expensive) online brands. It replaced a memory foam mattress from a giant furniture store that was about four years old and was extremely uncomfortable Our guest room has an old mattress and box springs that has traveled from college apartments to a couple of different houses. I had been looking at memory foam mattresses for the guest room for quite a while. I was drawn to this one for a couple of reasons. Price was definitely a factor, I don't mind making guests comfortable but we don't have company very often and I did not want to break the bank. The other interesting feature on this mattress for me was the ability to flip it to adjust firmness as that was a new feature to me. I took a chance on this one and I am happy with my purchase and will provide some details why.Amazon delivered this to me in record time, and as luck would have it the day it arrived at my house is the same day my wife came home sick. She is a school teacher and this is a somewhat common occurrence but this time I had a new mattress to try out so I had an excuse to sleep in the guest room so I did not get sick. The mattress box is small and this actually surprised me. Both of our previous mattress purchases arrived with the mattress simply "rolled" and not folded up. This means that you really need two people to carry it upstairs as the length of the packaging is obviously the same length as the long part of the mattress. This mattress was folded up in a box and I was able to carry it upstairs solo. I am not saying it is light as a feather, but I could manage it. Opening the box and getting the mattress out was easy enough and the mattress did not put off too much of a noticeable odor out of the box (one of our previous purchases stunk the room up for a week). I don't know if that is due to the environmental certification this one has or what but it is a relief from previous experiences. After getting it in place I let it set a few hours to decompress and then I slept on it that night. They generally recommend more time to set up before use but it did not bother me to use and it looked like it puffed up quite a bit. I installed the "soft" side up and it was not overly soft to where you sink into it and feel uncomfortable. I would still call it supportive. I slept through the night without issue and that is a rare thing for me because generally when I sleep on a different bed, such as when travelling, I am up and down throughout the night. I slept on this mattress all weekend and to be honest I was starting to have second thoughts about my much more expensive mattress in the main bedroom as this one was simply that good. I frequently have back pain on different beds and I had no such issue on this one. I am looking forward to trying this one out again during the summer to see if it keeps me cooler than my main bed but so far this one is a winner to me and at a price that is hard to beat. I will be sure to update this review if I have any issues.

The media could not be loaded. I picked up this mattress for my retired in-laws as a thank you gift for all they do for us. Their old mattress was a pillow-top, but after they stayed at our house on our memory foam mattress while watching the kids several months back and hearing how well they slept, we just had to see if this would be an improvement. Our memory foam mattress was 12-inch and we paid about 2 grand for it 9 years ago. This one was not the cheapest we found on amazon, but it looked like a good deal and I wanted to see what the gel memory foam was like.The product arrived via Prime delivery in a big yellow box. Inside the box the mattress was folded in half and rolled up in a compressed form inside a plastic sheeth, which was inside a sort of plastic canvas bag along with an envelope and a little journal, a warranty card, with an amusing cartoon about a thief falling asleep on a Sweetnight mattress and getting caught while robbing a house. The package also came with a little letter opener which I used to slice through the plastic holding it together and I then unrolled it onto my in-laws queen-sized box spring. I then slit one end of the plastic bag that was still holding it compressed and I pulled the bag off of the mattress like removing an envelope from outside of a letter.The first thing I noticed was how quickly the mattress decompressed. Our mattress 9 years ago took about 48 hours to visibly decompress, whereas with this mattress, within a matter of a couple seconds the mattress expanded from about 6-7 inches tall to 10 inches. I laid down on it felt completely decompressed and fluffy soft. I read in the instruction booklet that one side of the mattress was firmer than then other so I decided to video the difference between each side. I had my 6 year old daughter walk and jump around on the mattress with a glass of water sitting in the middle, first with the soft side up, then with the firmer side up. You could see in the videos that the soft side transfers a good bit of motion just walking around on the mattress and the firmer side requires her to jump to really see the water move (well you could see if Amazon allowed me to upload more than one video, but it doesn't so I just uploaded the firm side my in-laws decided to sleep on).How does that translate to laying on the bed, well my in-laws decided to go with the firm side because they were concerned that too soft a mattress might cause back issues. After 3 nights (the amount of time the instructions say to let the bed expand) it is the best night sleep they've had in years and they just keep thanking us for the wonderful mattress. Though, they have not noticed a difference with it from the 1st to the 3rd night, so I'm not sure if it expanded much at all. They see no need to try the softer side of the mattress, they are so pleased with it so far.Pros: Good price, easy to set up, decompresses quickly, pillowy soft and cool, plus an amusing little cartoonCons: Like all memory foam mattresses it, has the faintest foam odor, but after putting sheets on it I honestly couldn't smell it anymore, and the instructions say the faint smell dissipates quickly.

Bought this 5 years ago now and it's as comfortable as ever. I dont know why anyone would spend 1000+ for a mattress. One of the best amazon purchases I've ever made.

This mattress is great! I got the flippable one because my husband and I both have different firm presences. While I like a softer more cloud like mattress, he wanted something more firm for his back. After opening it and letting it expand for 48 hours we tried both sides and preferred the softer side. We’ve been sleeping on it a couple weeks now and it’s been great. No more back pain. I took away one star because I got the 12 inch and it only expanded to 11. Not a huge deal but would’ve been nice since I paid extra for the larger size. Overall we are happy.

Very great product and i also got the great deal.. If it is available again with the same price i will buy for my other room too..

I wanted to make sure i waited a decent amount of time before reviewing this mattress. I purchased this in June of 2021, and for the first three months i had the worst sleeps of my life . I tried rotating, and flipping on multiple occasions, but it never got any better. I added TWO memory foam toppers and a feather bed, and it made the mattress tolerable but it is still easily by far the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on. save your self the trouble, because returning a mattress is a nightmare!!!!

First time for a foam mattress. i love it. A great mattress at a great price

I purchased this mattress on the recommendation of a friend. I purchased a twin for my Son. Unfortunately the mattress was just over an inch wider and longer than described in the specifications and therefor didn't fit the bedframe we have. Amazon was very helpful in working through a return plan.
