Good product. PRICES VARY from one listing to another.
Good product. PRICES VARY from one listing to another.BIG PRO: The product quality (the soup, itself) is great.BIG CON: Be VERY CAREFUL before you hit the Order or Reorder buttons. There are many different listings for EACH Progress soup variety. Make sure you only order from one of the few LEGITIMATE product pages on Amazon. WATCH OUT for any of the supposed "deals" from some sellers who are offering bogus multi-item discounts. The FAIR ONLINE PRICE for good (not gourmet, just good) quality soup is between 8 cents and 15 cents per ounce. That's between $0.08/Ounce and $0.15/Ounce. For comparison's sake, an average in-person purchase for a can of Progresso soup (regular price without discounts) is $2.89 PER CAN.In short, shop around across various Amazon listings instead of allowing one of the crooks (AKA "bad apples") to steal from you!2 SMALL CONS:a) I believe the cans are lined with BPA plastic to prevent rust. Look up BPA. There are GOOD REASONS why it is NO LONGER LEGAL in the USA to produce plasting baby bottles which are made with BPA.b) Apart from the Reduced Sodium Black Bean soup, all of the Progresso Reduced Sodium canned soups are very BLAND. You can add your own spices before heating. In any of the "clear" soups, I reccommend adding black pepper/tobasco or cayenne/red pepper/Texas Pete AND if you are looking for something exotic, you can add curry powder. The "red" soups are great with JalapeƱos or JalapeƱo powder, or chili powder if jals are too spicy for you. And cumin is a great addition to ANY Progresso soup. Just BE CAREFUL about any pre-mixed spices that might contain the food additive MSG (MonoSodium Glutamate), a "flavor enhancer" and potential allergen which could interfere with how easily you breath.
