Solid Heavy Blade and Nice Pattern
Yes another blade for the collection. Like bacon, you can never have to much or to many knives. This is a solid, heavy knife with an awesome blade shape. The skull pattern is subtle and well done. It arrived with a very respectable edge and the opening action was very smooth. I only had to apply a drop of silicone to the pivot point and the blade flew out.The blade weight is heavier then most of the blades in this size group which helps to sling this blade out with ease. The lock is solid and has never failed to engage. It is a heavy knife and as such would not be well suited for daily carry in a pocket (IMO) but make a great backpack knife. That's where I have it. If you're looking for a heavier knife with a cool pattern this is it. Well worth the modest price.

NOT as Advertised...BUT...my Fault?!
When I ordered this knife....I was wanting a Purple one.In the description it says...<quote> " MTech USA MT-A808PE Assisted Opening Folding Knife, Two-Tone Half-Serrated Blade, Purple Skull Camo Handle, 4-3/4-Inch Closed", and the big photo shows a PURPLE Camo Skull knife.BUT...in the smaller description...it does say....<quote> "Red cracked skull camo coated aluminum handle with Lanyard hole"....but still shows AND says PURPLE when you click on the smaller photo. It was only once I paid for this item that I knew it was not a purple knife. The photo in the receipt shows a RED knife, and unbelievably, the description changed to read: <quote> "MTech USA MT-A808 Series Assisted Opening Folding Knife, Two-Tone Half-Serrated Blade, Skull Camo Handle, 4-3/4-Inch Closed." NO color was in the description.I will accept 50% of the blame for not getting what <I thought> I ordered. But Seller needs to make sure they advertise CORRECTLY.That being said....This is not a horrible knife. I read quite a few reviews, not all good, and got it regardless of the negative reviews. Reviewers wrote how the blade is DULL, there are chips in the black coloring, dented, blade lock doesn't engage etc.My knife is great. The blade is very sharp and went right through the thick cardboard box it shipped in. The coloring on this knife is great...nothing missing, dented or chipped anywhere. The blade lock works just fine...and I have no problems closing the blade. The lanyard is actually pretty cool....definitely nothing like a shoelace. For just under $10....this is a pretty good buy. Everything that is advertised...is just what I got, with the exception of the color.Would I recommend this knife? You bet.Just make sure you read everything to get the color you want. Why 4 stars? I believe it's the sellers responsibility to get the description and photos correct.

Good design but plainly craftwd blade. Can be made better.
Used for few days and my final decision is only 3.5 stars to this good designed pocket knife. It is designed in USA but made/crafted in China. Where it is made is not a big deal since it is all the machines and robotic arms doing the works, as long as the item is made properly and the materials are real it can be an excellent pocket knife............ However, though this knife feels good in hand, cutting power is soso, and the overall quality is only okay level..The production line manager needs to inspect the instrument of sharpening. I purchased two of this knife and they both have the same problem------ blade is not centrically sharpened. The paint on the body is just a paint, unlike the knives from Winchester brand (made and designed in USA), all have a special coating paint --- which is smooth in regular environment and give you rubber-kind of grip and feeling when moisture is increased, i.e. when you hold it in your hand.Overall speaking, the only things I like about this knife are the design and the assisted opening, and the shape of the blade ---- the main reason why I chose it.........Well....... in fact, the second one after I open it, I fount the assisted opening function is not proper like the first one, and thee is some rusting condition in the but end....and this is a brand new item.... Mtech...you really need to do proper quality inspection to your manufactures in China. Poor quality.

Impressive Mtech snap blade Bowie knife!
This knife is as pictured. This is a handful of foldable Bowie. The blade is well sharpened. The knife appears to be well made. This knife feels substantial in your hand, like you have something you can work with. The blade opener works, this is a very good design and the blade lock positively locks the blade open. I carry this in my back pocket and do not feel anything prodding me in the butt. This knife is a little large and a bit heavy to comfortably carry in my front pocket. The lanyard and the skull slider are a nice touch.

Great knife. My new favorite?
So far - 5 stars. Will update if needed.Very functional, solid knife so far. It's probably the sharpest 'out of the box knife' I have ever gotten.(No joke. I may have dropped it on my carpet.. and it may have taken a chunk out of my carpet)(Unless you're my apartment manager. Then.. I'm just kidding)It's strong, well built, and performs without flaw. The lanyard is removable (it adds a cheap feel if you ask me)It flips open with extreme ease, locks tight, folds up smoothly. No complaints whatsoever so far.

I absolutely love this knife
I absolutely love this knife! There are a lot of inexpensive knives out there that I look at and ask "who designed that?", they're just not attractive at all. This is define try the exception. Looks even better in real life than it does in the picture. This is the second time I've bought this knife. I was able to break my first one but it wasn't due to an inferior construction. It's actually really well made. And sharpens up nicely. 5 stars for sure!!

quiero y no puedo
Aunque tiene buenos ajustes y atractivo diseño viene muy poco afilado y no consigo sacarle un buen corte afilandolo yo, por eso mi valoración
