In Francis's book it is easy to read and and understand the intricacies of a more metaphysical view of existence.As a reader and a seeker, I found inspiration and concrete applications about opening one's doors of perception. The author comes from a line of teachers which gives him authority. I've had the pleasure to see him in action. In his compelling search for meaning he has traveled extensively, experiencing some of the world's most sacred places. He sheds light and understanding into the shadows. The locations he's experienced are fascinating in themselves and he fearlessly reveals both his failures and triumphs along the way. The reader should work all the way to the ending chapter because it's a mind blower. He's the real deal. It's a stunningly great book.

This book is a treasure. A rare combination of practical activities that work, personal stories and direct knowledge of life and how to access it for yourself. Francis provides deep insights into traditional wisdom, where much like comparative religion is the branch of the study concerned with the systematic comparison of practices of the world's religions, his book find the universal truths from nature, teachers, spiritual cultures and traditional wisdom. Reading a book with so much truth coming from it's pages is a gift that was hard to put down but I also wanted to savor my journey into each chapter. I highly recommend this book.

I am so glad I treated myself to this book. It's been an opportunity to see life through a different lens...that of someone who sees so clearly beyond apparent reality into a world of possibility. Francis's style of writing is direct but colorful, down-to-earth yet magical. This man is telling it like it is with just enough humor to soften the blow. Those smart enough to take heed will find their lives quickly changing for the better. If this is all new to you, I can't think of a clearer, more honest book on the topic; lucky you! If you are experienced with shamanic practices, this book will help you clear away your cobwebs and realign you with what's truly important (at least that's what it's doing for me). This one's a five star gem I'll be be working with for years.

Just finished the book and all the time and effort from Francis (years in the making) paid off in this remarkable book which can be read by the "beginner" to the "master". It personally took me on a journey back 10 or so years when we met and I was able to relive all the experiences I have had through the first, second, and third attention. Things I remembered and things that I forgot. I think this book ranks at the top of "shaman" books (and I have read most of them, something Francis suggested I not do years ago).Thanks Francis from being my sherpa guide to pushing me out of the nest so I could jump the fence.
