Novogratz Marion Canopy Bed, King, Gold

The only downside to this, is that we received it with zero instructions. Thankfully, with a little common sense, it wasn’t hard to put together by simply looking at the photo on this listing. I have a purple mattress which is insanely heavy and takes two very strong people to lift/move, and two box springs underneath (king size), and after sleeping on it last night it seems durable. I would definitely recommend not purchasing for wood floors, or if you do, getting a giant rug or some form of non-sliding caps to go under the legs. The frame itself (under the mattress) seems to have more support then some of the thousands of dollars frames I have had before. The metal bars at the top, however, are extremely flimsy so you couldn’t hang anything more than draping curtains or things that are extremely light weight. That aspect is definitely just for show. It’s adorable for a simplistic, yet fun bed frame, and extremely fair priced.

This is so beauty and so sturdy! It was fairly easy to put together , I am a very tiny petite woman and I suck at putting anything together , however I was able to put this together completely by myself . It is so beautiful and my daughter is obsessed! I got the queen size in Gold

I bought this bed to give my space a bit of a more modern and updated look and just wanted something different than a traditional headboard.It is fairly easy to put together, I did it all by myself in about 1 1/2 hours. The pieces are well labeled and the instructions pretty easy to read. I tend to look and look and look again to make sure I am putting the right pieces together so that add extra time. Also, I haven't taken off the main labels/stickers because they are very sticky and will likely leave leftover pieces on the poles. A stupid idea if you ask me...be prepared to peel off those labels with goo gone or something like that. They are placed on the top poles so you can't really hide them.The final look of the bed is really beautiful. The gold color frame is not gaudy, but rather more of a modern matte gold, and very very pretty. The structure itself; however, is not very solid in terms of how strong each of the poles are. My kids constantly want to hold on to the top polls and act like they will hang or swing from it (and so do I!) but I guarantee you they will bend at the slightest tug!I think the frame itself that the mattress sits on feels sturdy, as there are plenty of braces under neath that hold up the mattress, but again, they are thin poles and probably can't handle too much romping around on them!Overall the bed looks beautiful and I think will hold up fairly well to "normal" bed wear and tear, ie the occasional jumping on the mattress if you don't weigh a ton or moving the frame around to a different part of the room. I don't think it would withstand constant any hardcore tugging on the frame itself. The overall value was great so it makes it worth it for the look.

Bought this bed frame almost a year ago and it is absolutely great! It was easy to put together and definitely stands out! Very sturdy and well designed. I will admit that it stand a little higher than I imagined but fits comfortably in our room. The canopy covering is sold separate from this frame but once you have one and have it sealed, it’s like being on a vacation in your room. Peaceful and beautiful

I got this but taking one piece out it seemed so weak like it would bend/break pretty quickly so I decided to return it. I got sent a return label but due to it being so large they refused to take it as a pick up once they got here. I got told to just take it somewhere else then but again due to its size I don’t have anything to transport it anywhere to ship or carry it myself. So if you may end up not wanting it just make sure you have a vehicle large enough to take it to return otherwise it’ll just sit in its box in your hallway for months. Or if you buy it- watch the price… I’ve seen it almost half the price I bought it for as apparently it jumps all over the place.

This bed frame is super cute & it was easy to put together. We have had it for about 6 months now and the issue is it is SUPER squeaky. When you turn at night it’s so squeaky it ends up waking you up.

I needed a frame for our guest bedroom almost immediately and after looking all day, this was the most inexpensive frame that could get to me before my guests arrived. It was packaged great, everything was clearly labeled and they provide extra hardware. Set up was almost entirely done by myself alone. The instructions were easy to follow. However the final step (setting up the bars for the canopy) you will need at least one extra person as the bars need to be held in place on both sides. I used 2 just to make it very easy. Overall setup took me just under 2 hours. And it’s amazing, aesthetically pleasing and very sturdy. My grandparents slept on it and even wrestled with my toddlers multiple times. I’m incredibly happy that I went with this frame. The long stickers aren’t able to be pulled off (as mentioned in other reviews) but I purchased some goo gone and was able to take them off that way. Another key is there is a removable paper in the instructions page 2 I believe that mentions 2 types of washers for the base. Do not skip this step. It increases the overall integrity of the frame. If you’re considering this frame, 100% buy it. I can’t believe I paid less than $200 for it.

Bought this product because it came with the canopy bars. Installation was simple. The bed is sturdy and the canopy poles have good strength. I agree with other reviewers that it is more of a bronze color than gold but after looking at it I was very happy that it is that way. The bronze gives it that modern antique feeling. The mattress fit perfectly and there was no wobble when getting in or out of bed.

Pretty to look at and that’s about it.This bed is for sleeping only! Like take your melatonin and crawl in gingerly, don’t even roll over.One bang sesh and it looks like it was picked up in a hurricane and swirled around the farm and slammed back down in my bedroom. Basically if you’re attracted to guys who skip leg day, this bed is for you.Like a women, overall rating is 1 star for stability and 5 for stars for appearance. Can’t have it all I guess, it is not a unicorn.Perfect for long time married couples or nuns.

We absolutely love this bed frame! One of the best purchases in my life. Very easy to build, sturdy and beautiful. I was very hesitant to buy online a bed but this is superb!

Product not hard to assemble, but is absolute garbage construction and sturdiness. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

It has been about 6 months and I love this bedframe for the price. Some screws needed a little tightening but nothing to bad.

Update: it’s now October 29th, I managed to buy another bedframe to put into the middle of this one… and it works but now the screws on this bed are completely stripped and I won’t be able to take it apart again if I need too. I also cannot put the poles on the top anymore either because the screws just keep turning in those holes. I hate this bed so much.UPDATE: since my first review my bed had crashed to the floor after the middle bars bent completely in. And because its been two months Amazon refuses to help, TWO MONTHS I was able to use this $400 bedframe and now I have to make shift wood to hold the middle of the bed lmao absolute trash and amazon is useless and won’t even provide replacement parts.The assembly was easy, took about an hour or two. The shipping was fast! But I paid $379 for this bed and it is EXTREMELY dainty and weak. I am scared to sleep in this bed, my 8 year old son who is skinny sat in the bed and it moved lol. I’m a bigger gal so when that happened I cautiously laid down for bed and now I won’t move! This bed at most should only be $100... how insanely cheap.
