Poor substitute
Looks like the original but the connector does not fit the 2003 vw polo. It sort of fits , in that it connects but does not engage all the parts so aerial does not work. Very disappointed, but I should have checked before installing. Sad times.Main problem is there is a central plastic sleeve missing from the connector that is present on original. This prevents connection working . Note that you cannot see inside the connector in pictures given. Finally managed to mangle the connection to work and taped it up but found reception was poor. Put a longer aerial in from a mate and reception was working but...mediocre.Ordered another one from another vendor.
