This is going to be great for learning Japanese. Word of caution....you must know at least hirigana and katakana before trying to use these books properly.

**Please note** If you are a beginner the N1 is the highest-level test, not the lowest. N5 is the lowest level.Much like the previous entries in this series, this book covers a good range of questions that represent what would appear on the test paper. It is an extremely difficult test and requires a lot of knowledge, grammar, vocabulary and of course it goes without saying that you will need to know Hiragana and Katakana to a very high level.The book also contains a large amount of high level Kanji so it is compulsory to know it like the back of your hand. The book contains zero English after the first page, which only serves as guide for how the test works. After that it’s pure Japanese from the go.The first part will give you a sentence and highlights a Kanji symbol (or symbols) and then presents you with four possible answers. You must then choose the correct one. Sometimes it will give you a blank space and you must choose the correct word from again, four answers. Some of these answers are also in Kanji and not just in Katana or Hiragana.Later on, you will be given a reading test where you will read a large paragraph and then asked a question on it. You must then chose from four possible answers. I would say this is the hardest part of the test.The book does contain a full set of answers at the back, which of course are written in Japanese.Personally, I found this book to be an extremely difficult challenge and forced me to go back and work on my Kanji knowledge. At the very least, this book will either prepare you for the test or make you go back and work on your weaker areas.I ordered this direct from Japan and once dispatched it took around two weeks to arrive.If you are taking the N1 test soon then I wish you good luck and hope you nail it!

公式問題集ということもあり、実際にJLPTを受ける人は一度試験前にやってみた方がいいでしょう＾＾試験前に時間配分を考えて、どんな問題があるのか理解しておくのは大事ですので、JLPTの試験がどういう試験かわからない人はとりあえずこの一冊をやってみれば理解できるでしょう！

I bought this in hopes of it having multiple test questions and mock tests. Instead it only features one N1 mock test and then at the answers page it also gives you tips on how to study and how to approach each question style.Should be presented for what it is.
