John Wilson's Go Fishing Special [DVD]

about 17 years ago back in blighty i used to do a lot of fishing and when i wasnt on the bank with my brother i would be arm chair fishing with good ole wilson,I was a great fan of the go fishing series and i used to watch it keenly then go off and put wilsons teachings into practice.Go fishing wasnt just the enjoyment of watching John catch fish it was also about seeing beautiful English countryside and nature.These DVDs really could of been easily squeezed on to 2 DVDs rather than wasted on 5 cos there was no reason to only have an hour long program taking up just one dvd.Anyway not to worry the dvds are bream,, carp,trout salmon,, pike perch. and it was great to see wilson in action after all these years even though they seemed to have been made in 95.I would love to be able to get hold of the old series of go fishing as even though there aint much chance of me being able to catch bream or chub in the USA i can still enjoy watching and relaxing to john catching fish in the British countryside.Good to see Wilson in action again.Thanks Amazon uk ten out of ten for service as usual.

Bernard Venables, Jack Hargreaves and John Wilson. The three names that shout fishing.Always loved watching John Wilson on the television, got alloy of his books as well.If you are into the sport, get this dvd.

Best way to keep sanity levels, watch fishing programmes

Good old John chuckles his way through various fishing trips which sees him make some remarkable catches. I would have liked him spend more time on describing tackle and tactics, otherwise he produces an informative and enjoyable few hours on the bank via the sofa.

the master of tv angling in some of his best episodes gotta love the summer lure fishing dvd and theres some great trout episodes great viewing on those cold winter days in the close season

Massive variety and excellent presentation in this series. Lots of good advice on fishing techniques too. The camera work is excellent too.
