The EZON did not work reliably so bought a Polar strap and smart watch which work perfectly.
Update June 4, 2021I used the EZON every week for four times a week for about 40 minutes each time - two times with my rowing machine and two times with my stationary bike, since I bought it, From mid December to mid January it worked about 95% of the time although it was erratic as I described in my earlier review. From mid January to mid May it worked only about 50% of the time. Some days it worked fine but other days it did not work at all. I wondered if the electrical signal from my heart had changed causing it to not function reliably. I decided to buy a Polar strap and Polar smart watch. Although the total cost was much more than the EZON, measuring my heart rate is important to me. I was pleasantly surprised that the Polar chest strap and smart watch worked perfectly, just as my old Polar heart rate monitors did in the past. It measured my resting heart rate, mid 40's, and once I started to exercise it showed a slowly increasing heart rate until it maxed out to about mid 150's to 160 as it did in the past. My conclusion is that the EZON does a very poor job in reliably detecting the electrical signal form the heart. It may work well for some people, but if you want a heart monitor that will with confidence reliably measure your heat rate do not buy the EZON but buy the Polar strap and smart watch.I have used Polar Heart Rate Monitors with a chest strap and a watch for over 30 years. They have been easy to use and accurate. My old one died. Now Polar sells mostly heart rate sensor chest straps which requires a smart watch which I do not want to buy. The only chest monitor with a wrist watch they sell has poor reviews so I bought the EZON. Some days it works just fine giving me readings similar to those I used to get my now defunct Polar. Other days it gives readings which are totally inaccurate. e.g. resting heart rate readings from 100 to 130 while mine has always been in the mid 40's. When I did my 3 minute warm-up on my rowing machine this morning which usually results in an ending rate heart rate in the mid 120's I got readings about 160. I always put water on my chest and strap and adjusted the strap but still often get inaccurate readings.Since my previous review, I have a few additional comments. The contact strips on the heart monitor band are both shorter and narrower than on my previous heart monitor. Once in while when I am taking my resting heat rate before I start exercising on my rowing machine or stationary bike, I get abnormally high and erratic readings. I have found that if I slightly move the heart monitor strap once or twice to better center it on my chest, I get reasonable readings. I also bought a tube of Spectra 360 Electrode Gel, per the suggestion made in another review, which I use regularly. This might be another reason why the heart monitor now seems to be working well for me. Because the plastic part of the monitor is narrow, I have some concern that connecting and disconnecting the monitor from my chest whenever I use it might cause the narrow piece of plastic by the insertion holes at the end of the plastic portion to fracture.Since my last comments my heart monitor has been working fine, up to a week ago. In the last week two days it worked fine but two days during my exercise there were long periods where the display showed numbers from 180 to 220. Today was the worst day. My resting heart rate was 45 which is typical. In my three minute warm-up it maxed in the upper 120’s, again typical. Then I spent some time on my computer. When I went back to my rowing machine to start my 40 minute workout the display showed 220. I slightly adjusted the position of the heart monitor on my chest thing it might give me an accurate reading. No luck. I adjusted it three more times but still got 220. Finally I decided to start my workout, thinking that the increase in my heart rate might result in accurate readings. No luck, as the readings were typically 180 to 220. My maximum heart rate at the end of my workouts is typically between 155 and 165 (I am 78 years old). I will give the heart monitor another week. If it does not give me accurate readings, I will have to buy another one.

Heart rate watch is easy to use
I like that the watch has a light but I find the chest strap design a little difficult to put on. Overall it’s a good design

Tried Other Exercise Heart Rate Monitors - This is by Far the Best
Excellent product, durable, good light. Good to find something that just works as it should.

No frills HRM with strap
I ordered this product for my elderly neighbor who has always used an old Polar HRM with chest strap. He doesn’t have a smart phone, so just needed a no frills watch that didn’t have to connect to a device in order to work. This fit the bill and seems to be fairly accurate. The directions are fairly clear and straightforward and set up was easy enough. I’d recommend it for someone who is used to the older style HRMs and doesn’t have a smart phone.

EXTREMELY PLEASED
I'VE had this for almost a year and couldn't be more pleased. At first I wasn't sure since it is a fairly economical price. But it does exactly what I was after- and that is reading my heart rate accurately.

Simple, inexpensive reading of heart rate during exercise
Watch and strap are automatically paired to each other. Watch has a LARGE display of heart rate that can be read while running/biking without stopping. For me, the most important function of a HRM is to monitor my exercise level DURING the exercise (to ensure I am hitting my target HR) and this product is perfect for that. I found readings to be accurate and consistent most of the time. This product lasted 3 years for me with use 3-4 hours per week. I "upgraded" to a Polar H10 and have not figured out any practical method to read my heart rate from the Polar DURING the exercise. (Phone is not practical for me, not going to spend another $200 on a bluetooth watch). Wish I'd have purchased another EZON.

Doesn't track while driving
I love the watch. The large screen display and simplicity with a heart monitor is just what I wanted.I'm a large man at 6'1, 275lbs and the wrist and chest strap fit just fine. Not very fond of the dimly lit green light feature though. Would be better if it were a bit brighter.Tracking my heart throughout the day works fine, even without using any conducting gel. Tracks poorly while driving though, its hit and miss. Might need to try conducting gel to see if that works.I'm glad I bought it cause its very accurate. I use it to monitor my heart rate as I'm recently diagnosed with AFIP. Doesn't track EKG but at least I know how my hearts doing throughout the day.

Perfect for Gen-X...
I am a 55-year old male who wanted a simple heart rate monitor with an easy-to-read display. No apps, no Bluetooth, no bells and whistles. I just wanted to know what my HR is while I'm working out. That is all. A simple apparatus for such a simple need is more difficult to find than it should be.This monitor has worked perfectly for me thus far (I've been using it for about a month). I moisten the sensor with water, strap it around my chest, put the display watch on, and I'm off and running. Simple as that. The watch display is large, so readers are not necessary while you're using it. The fact that it's designed to go on your wrist means you don't have to fumble around with your mobile phone while you're working out or mess with a Bluetooth connection. I love it and recommend it for those whose needs and desires are on the simpler end of the spectrum.

Does a good job for me
I got this so I can see the time and my heart rate as I am cycling and it does both those things fine. The screen is big and easy to see and the buttons are also easy to press as i am cycling so it fits my needs 100%.

Initially heart monitor didnt work......
Initially heart monitor didn't work because battery in chest bult was flat. The watch worked. As it was a prime item i suspect its been in a warehouse for sometime running flat. No off on chest belt. After replacing battery heart monitor worked as described. 3stars because of flat battery in belt (not makers fault) and a slightly strange fixing on the chest belt.Very simple to operate and large clear display. Appears accurate when compared to a finger pulse/oxygen monitor. So far so good will update after next cardio session.

Good product
I have tried some cheaper HR monitors which haven't been really reliable. The EZON works consistently; it is easy to put on and stays in place. Very pleased with it.
