Zega Styrofoam Cutting Hot Pen, Hot Wire Styrofoam Cutting Pen (1 Pen)

I've just had it running for about 15 minutes so far and it works surprisingly well. Previously I have been using a knife to cut high-density styrofoam for custom packaging and I have to wonder why I didn't think to get this sooner. Within about 15 seconds it's hot enough to cut. It requires little force to cut through even thick foam.Should go without saying, but foam can give off noxious fumes when melting, so use ventilation.This review was a product *I purchased with my own money* and has been in no way compensated by anyone. There is a lot of skepticism of 5-star reviews, so wanted to make this very clear.If my opinion changes as I use it longer, I will update the review.

It was obvious to me before buying it that this is a product that could easily burn me and I'd have to be very careful with that. Please be present and aware when you use this so you don't get hurt.That being said, the product glides through styrofoam much easier than I expected. It works really well.I just may bring my crafts outside or closer to a window with a fan though... The smell of styrofoam is powerful.

Love it! so easy to use this tool to cut through styrofoam boxes without foam flaking or breaking off.Tool gets really hot, you’ll need something to rest tool on while you’re in middle of a job or until cools down.

Good value...cools down after several but works fine. Wished it got a bit hotter and maintained its heat but for the price, it a great deal. Perfect for small jobs. Get something else if you’ve got a big project.

I am using it to cut through foam insulation boards to create a faux wall with a window. The foam is not dense, and this thing cuts through it like butter. That is, as long as you give it a slow sawing motion as you pass through the foam.It is the only foam cutter I have ever used so this may be normal for these tools, but the directions say to only use for 30 seconds at a time?I assume this is to keep the heating element from frying. Turning it off and on like this over and over is a bit annoying.

Very easy to use, also 1,5 up to 2 cut like buttermore wide cut slow but cut anyway

I love it. I used it as soon as I received it and it works magically. Honestly so worth it and cuts styrofoam super smooth and nice.
