You need a steady reliable heat for your bbq - especially for meats like chicken - sadly the huge amount of small bits means you will get about 20 mins of ideal heat and then its all burned out leaving one or two big lumps still going. Nice heat and flavour when its ready but I was hoping for a more reliable burn.

Cheap, but most of the lumps of charcoal are large so you need to break them up which is messy. They also do not burn very long for some reason and often find un-burnt lumps in my webber BBQ.

Bit of a disappointment. The top third of the bag had reasonable sized chunks in, the rest was small shrapnel, no better than cheap charcoal. The bag it comes in also makes it impossible to use without getting covered in black dust.

So much better than the lumpwood charcoal I am used to from the supermarkets. Nice mix of small pieces and some great big 7" lumps. Burns nice and cleanly with great heat.Delivery was faster than stated. We have a lot of barbeques so going to build a hopper for this and will be buying plenty more.

the top two thirds of the bag had good sized lumps that I used in my smoker but unfortunately the bottom third was actually just dust and will have to be launched. Shame because what was good was good

looks good quality charcoal burns well except in wind and rain for a smoker.

I thinks these might get a bit knocked around in transit causing them the brake into smaller pieces .Not great.
