definitely not even but piggies enjoy it
Besides the way it was shipped it seems to be holding up pretty good, piggies are able to lay inside stretch out and move it around. Cleaning is simple since they are meant to chew on it at shake off any loose pieces and put back.

Guinea pigs LOVE them
These are hands down the favorite for my guinea pigs. They are pretty big, easier for my fat guinea pig to get into. They last a long time, even though the pigs like to eat them. The only bad experience is that one of them came with the doorway too small, so my husband had to use big clippers to cut it. But that worked fine and didn't cause the hut to collapse, and the pigs still thought it was great!

Guinea pigs loved the house; falls apart over time - 5 months for us
Guinea pigs adore this house. They like it more than their willow tunnel because it lets them get entirely out of our sight. They don't really chew on it but they are always bumping it with their heads and flipping it over. Sometimes as much as 3-4 times in 20 minutes. Sometimes they'll go days without a flip. Who can fathom the mind of a guinea pig. Anyway, all the flipping eventually took its toll and we had to start cutting off the layers as the hut fell apart. They would not be deterred and continued using the house as it shrunk and shrunk until there wasn't even a doorway anymore. Maybe that was an upgrade -- now there's no way we can see them from any angle. Anyway, a new house is on the way but we got a good 5 months out of this one so I have no complaints.

MESSY guinea pig toy
My guinea pigs have made destroying willow baskets, tunnels, and balls an art. A large tunnel that used to take them weeks to chew up is now gone in days. I thought I'd try the willow and grass hut to see if this slowed down the destruction. Not only did it not slow them down, it was so messy as they chewed it apart! They destroyed it in the same amount of time as the toys made of willow sticks/twigs, and the mess was HUGE.They didn't get as much chewing out of this toy as they do the regular willow toys because, even after those are destroyed, there are still tons of sticks that can be nibbled on for quite a while. This toy may be fantastic for other animals, or for piggies that aren't quite as destructive as mine (if piggies like that exist...), but I will not be purchasing this again or recommending it to anyone.

Exactly what you'd hope.
Product is exactly what one would expect. My guinea pig loves this hut, unfortunately a bit too much. He keeps eating it. lol Durability rating gets a1 star, it's "straw", not sure what kind of durability anyone can expect it this.

Last for a bit of time til you can upgrade to more durable stuff
It was a good product. But could not withstand the teeth of my piggies.

sturdy if not mishandled
I like the size of this for my coturnix quail. They take turns laying eggs in there, and sometimes there are two at a time in the hide out! It seems very durable and my first one has lasted about a year! My second one was slightly broken in shipping. I should not have had it shipped in the same box with a heavy skillet!

Pigs love it but
Pigs love it but:1. Only has one entrance/exit so multiple pigs can fight over it.2. My guinea pigs love their hay and to chew - 1st one lasted 3 weeks, 2nd one last 1 week, 3rd only 3 days before it was a puddle of hay. You would be sinking a lot of money into these if you planned to have this be your one term hiding place/home.If they weren't so easy for a pig to chew through the hay rope holding it together and had more than one entrance/exit- these would be the single best pig houses available instore or online.

Not as enjoyed as the Oxbow Timothy Tunnel
But better price, lasts longer and makes a good toy basket upside down when not being used as a hide.
