Cool and Fairly Quiet
To start, the instructions for putting this thing together are pretty awful. You just need to feel your way through it. There aren't too many parts, so it's not that difficult when you finally have the gist of it. I will say the way the cage is assembled is super easy and convenient, as I've assembled Lasko fans that needed screws to tighten the cage, and this Honeywell fan has a convenient set of thumb latches. That was nice.Once assembled and working, you realize the fan is only about 4 feet tall. It's really not very tall at all. I was a little put off by this at first - most whole-room pedestal fans are around 5 feet tall. Not this one, it's definitely a little shorter. And the remote? It feels a little cheap - mechanical buttons and cheap plastic. But it works and controls everything about the fan. I wish the fan itself had a place to mount the remote when not in use - I know it'll eventually get misplaced and disappear completely. However, all the negative out of the way, the operation of the fan itself is pretty amazing. It's quiet, it's cool, and it blows air a great distance at its highest setting, and does a great job even at its lowest setting. It's got two "variable" wind settings that change the wind intensity every few seconds so it doesn't have to be a constant stream of air - never experienced a fan with that option before. All the important things a fan should do, this fan does it, and that's why I bought it - and hence why I'm giving it 5 stars. Totally would recommend this fan to anyone.I've only had it a couple of days, so I cannot yet comment upon longevity. But so far, I'm super happy with this thing!

Excellent Quality Fan with Good Air Flow and Low Noise
I've been using this Honeywell double blade 16" pedestal fan for year daily. It replaced a Honeywell single blade pedestal fan than I have had for 10 years so far, and it was still working the same as the day I bought it. I was looking to get something that had more functions on the remote control, moved a bit more air, and was a tad quieter. What I wound up with was a big upgrade in going to this new double blade fan. It has a weighted base, so now the fan doesn't fall over when a gust of wind comes through the window. The base is also smaller in diameter, making it easier to place. The remote controls the swivel movement of the fan in additional to the speed, modes, timer, and power. The double blade fan moves noticeably more air than the single blade fan and is also quieter. On low this fan moves quite a bit of air and is very low noise. The remote also has really good range and wide angle, so you don't even have to point the remote directly at the fan. I have the fan in white, and they supply a bright red fan blade cap that is behind the Honewell badge on the fan guard. It looks so out of place and makes you wonder why that isn't white too. I am extremely happy with this fan, and it is even better than I was expecting.

Great fan
The fan was very easy to put together and is easy to use. Make sure to line up the alignment pins on the blades when assembling it. It has good air flow. The noise level is a little high, but not too bad even at max speed. It's a fan... what do you expect? It has a nice weighted base that keeps the fan stable. The height isn't as adjustable as I expected (there's a difference of only about 8-10" from top to bottom heights), but that isn't a problem for me. The post screws down onto the base so that you don't have to worry about the base coming off when moving it and there's a screw on the top part that holds it in place to the post. However, that screw on the top part isn't great and probably won't last being tightened many times. But once set up, you should never need to tighten it or loosen it, so that shouldn't be a problem. The fan screen is metal and the clips holding the front to the back are metal, but seem to be flimsy, so be careful using them. If they end up breaking off at some point, zip ties work wonders for fan screens... just cut off the excess lengths after tying them on. I haven't used the remote as I don't have the batteries to fit it and I don't have any real use for a remote anyhow. I either have the fan on or off and that can easily be changed by pressing the button on the fan without having to track down a remote.I wanted to clear up a few things I saw in other reviews prior to buying this. Hopefully this will help anyone who had those issues.* If you are missing the small fan blade and remote, check ALL the cardboard as they are both in the same small piece of cardboard that can easily be missed.* The nut that holds the blades on does not unscrew counter-clockwise like you'd expect. Turn it to the right (clockwise) as the directions indicate and it will unscrew easily. This opposite threading prevents it from coming unscrewed as the blade spins.* If your fan is speeding up and slowing down, this is one of the settings. You can disable that easily. If you press the "..." button, you cycle between three fan settings. One will stay on at full speed, one will cycle fast and slow. I haven't tested the third, but it's probably something between those two options. This setting changes the lighted up icons on the right side. For constant full speed, you should have it set to the bottom icon on the right side.* If you aren't getting a lot of air flow, change the fan speed by pressing the power button. This changes the lighted up icons on the left side. The top icon is max speed. Note that it isn't going to be as good as a box fan or commercial fan, but it's still good. I currently have mine sitting about 13 feet away from me and it's hitting me very well. It could be better, but I could also move the fan closer if I really wanted to.

Cooling, Quiet & Affordable Fan
This fan is fantastic! This was a replacement for my old fan which I had not realized there had been an advancement in fan technology- I was pleasantly surprised how quiet this one is compared to my old one!! It can get a bit loud on "high" but I've only tested it at that level because it's SUPER high! I've haven't gone above "medium." Assembly was easy. The remote is very convenient and works well. I really do prefer the round base vs the "X" or "cross" base which is what my old fan was. Seems far more sturdy and less likely to trip on or have things "catch on" when walking past. My only complaint is the length of the extension/plug, it is far too short. Leaves little placement options or forced to attach an extension chord to place fan in an appropriate location which isn't visually appealing. For this I knocked off one star.
