Do it right and you wont be sorry you tried! Going on 12 months and 10k miles!
UPDATE (01/24/18 - 1 year after first use): This stuff is terrific! It has officially been one year and 10k miles later and my subaru is still running strong. Note, 1k miles ago I did need to run this sealer through the engines coolant system again. This was due to coolant seeping into the oil, this was the initial problem that lead me to this sealant. But all said in done I have spent about $120 dollars on this product and about 6 total hours of time in procedural repair time for this (flushes and refills, etc.) I am very happy with this product and this company because this is a serious product in a category of products that are way to often dismissed to be snake oil.I have a 2002 Subaru Outback 132K and I discovered that the headgasket was blown after I bought it. It was a cheap vehicle but this stuff is AMAZING and has allowed me to keep my car on the road. I am a college student and I could not afford to get this done properly but I did do my research and I saw how many people had good things to say about this so I tried it. Now I have had some issues with it but they pale in comparison to what I could have had to deal with. Problems that have come up:- My heater did not work 1/60 days I tried to use it. It actually started working once I slammed the throttle for like 5 sec. Not sure why this worked but I thought it would help loosen some debris that might exist in the cooling system.- About 1/30 days it will start to over heat after about 30 min of driving. Im not sure why this is.- Nothing else!I have had this in my car for about 4 months (2,000 miles) and I have had a great experience with them so far. FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE EXACTLY!!!! I presume that a lot of people that used this product didn't actually follow the instructions because just judging by their lack of information they provide in their negative review you wouldn't expect any type of competence from these individuals. That being said its probably not a fix forever solution. I know it says that it is a permanent sealer but honestly how much can this with stand. I hope I can drag out this subaru for another few thousand miles!!!

Seems to have worked!
My Grand Am was losing coolant at a slow rate and my engine oil appeared to be milky colored. The check engine light was also throwing a random misfire P0300 code which are all classic signs of a head gasket leak. I removed the thermostat, flushed the entire cooling system 2 times with plain tap water, then a third time with the blue devil radiator flush. Afterwards, drained the entire cooling system, refilled it with plain tap water and added 1/2 of the bottle of the blue devil head gasket sealer slowly. I let the car idle for a little over an hour and at first there was quite a bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust, but as the time went on it gradually faded until it completely disappeared. After the treatment, I let the car sit for 24 hours before taking it for a test drive. Since the blue devil treatment, I have flushed the entire cooling system again, reinstalled the thermostat, refilled with fresh coolant, changed the engine oil and the car is running great! It’s been about a month so far, and I haven’t lost any coolant, the engine oil seems fine, and my check engine light also turned off. Overall I am impressed with the Blue Devil, only time will tell if it truly holds up as a permanent fix.

Blue Devil 32 oz Head Gasket Sealer w/Radiator flush
The package arrived in a clean and undamaged condition. The contents are as stated. I have yet to use this product as I have seen some very negative reviews about this. Mainly concerning clogging up heater cores, radiators and causing the water pump to fail. Its bad enough to pay to have head gaskets replaced but to also pay to replace all those other things when it shouldnt be necessary is outrageous. Many warning come with the line "Never trust the mechanic in a bottle, if a seal or gasket needs to be replaced then do that and save yourself the headache of the extra work and cost." My head gasket quit leaking. I know it is unheard of but I no longer have steam exiting the tailpipe and my coolant level has remained the same for weeks now. I even took the vehicle to a shop that specializes in them (land rovers) and they said and I quote " you have no leaks and all fluids are up where they should be" The vehicle is running great (needs new springs and shocks on the rear end because of a increased occasional load) and I will continue to do regular maintenance and parts/seals/gaskets replacement as I can. I honestly believe this truck was very mistreated and did not get any maintenance by its previous owner.I may go ahead and use the Rad flush before putting in fresh coolant but I will find another use for the sealer. Use this at your own risk of further damaging your vehicle.

it works!!!
I own a 1992 Lexus ES300 and my head gaskets cracked about 7 years ago and it was too expensiveto fix so i got the blue devil head gasket sealer and it worked! just follow the instructions.make sure to remove the thermostat first. and once you have followed all of the instructions, you need to put the thermostat back in to see if the temp has normalized. my car is over heating due to a cracked head gasket.it cost 50-60 dollars for the product. it would cost easily 1000 to get the head gasket fixed.you are better off getting a used engine for the same price. but blue devil is very effective if you are willing to take the risk. it's a 50 risk versus thousands. i would it in a heartbeat. my car is 29 and has 360,000 miles on it and has survived b/c of blue devil. my head gasket has blown twice and blue devil saved it both times. just follow the instructions clearly and take it your mechanic if you cant do it on your own
