Love it - but have slight reservations
2022-05-02 Adding to my original review. I've used this wallet now for over three months and love it. My opinion is unchanged except that I started using one of the straps. Not useless as I first thought. Especially beneficial when you find yourself with a some extra cash you need to secure. Still unsure about the quality long term, but short term, no problems, ejector works perfect and I use it daily, leather is getting slight pocket worn look and feel that only enhances the wallet. I would not recommend this wallet without the leather case, I believe the leather both enhances and protects the wallet and I suspect some of the poorer reviews might be users who did not use the leather case.Count my vote as a solid YES to front pocket wallets, and this one in particular, which I prefer greatly over my former Ridge (which was also a good wallet albeit overpriced.)Original review:First off, I ordered this on a Tuesday, it delivered on Wednesday. Kudos on the fast fast delivery!I've only had this a day now, so I might add to this review later, but I already have my primary needs addressed and unlike the money I wasted on tickets to The Matrix Resurrections, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase.Things I like: 1) Using the leather case pouches, I can store two scan badges that both work from the pouch. No idea (or concerns) for rather or not the RFID works for cards in the internal, pop-up case, but a former wallet shielded my scan badges, even when stored exteriorly, which was annoying. 2) The wallet, including the leather case, fits very nicely in my front pocket. I carried a rear pocket wallet the majority of my life, and since transitioning to front pocket a couple years back, I don't want anything in my back pocket. This wallet fits perfectly, easy to access, even sitting down. 3) I was not a fan of the pop-up concept in the photos, seemed gimmicky to me, but gave it a try anyhow. Works great, smooth, easy to access cards. Overkill? Maybe. Gimmick? Not really. Effective? Yes. 4) Leather case looks great, feels of high quality. I got the "Expresso" variety, and though it does not have that strong, fresh roasted flavor I expected - and lacks that caffeine punch I need in the morning - it's perfect for me, looks exactly like the photos.Reservations: 1) Internal pop-up case feels a little on the cheap side, I would not be comfortable carrying it without the leather case. Rather than screws holding it together, like my Ridge is assembled, it cannot be disassembled, and probably can't be adjusted or repaired if broken. The pop-up card holder may be aluminum, not sure, but has a thin, plastic type "breakable" feel. Nonetheless, this feels durable when in the leather case, which is how I'll carry anyhow. 2) Using the leather case, and carrying a card in each of the two card slots, cash capacity is very limited. I don't carry much cash today (who does?) - but maybe I use a twenty for a cup of coffee and wind up with fives and ones as change - that wad ain't gonna fit, have to put it in another pocket or have my wife carry it. (Latter option means $20 cup of coffee 'cause I'll never get that cash back!!) Not a big deal really, but worth noting this wallet is for card users, not so great for cash cows. The wallet comes with several straps to use as money clips, etc. Akin to my sister-in-law's organic, gluten free, low sodium, enchilada's (made with free-range chicken, no antibiotics, ever), these are useless to me as I'll only carry this within the leather case. If you carry big stashes of cash like movie mobsters, maybe these straps could secure your rolls. MacGyver might assemble these into an explosive device and make a daring escape. I'll probably toss them in that drawer with my VGA cables, wheat pennies, paper clips, mini USB adapters. Old pens. C batteries. Random sized screws.Fidelo boasts a hassle-free lifetime warranty, so "maybe" the durability concerns are not big deal, "maybe" a guy never has to buy another wallet? For this reason, I'm not docking any stars as I am very happy with my purchase at this point.

FIDELO Minimalist Wallet - Black
This wallet is aluminum and has a leather case that can be used or not. The aluminum part is very light, at first I thought it was plastic. But upon closer inspection it is aluminum with plastic sides. The aluminum sides are riveted together, there are no screws to unwind apart. The leather case has some metal in it, a strong magnet attracts to the leather case. The aluminum wallet can be used as is or with the leather case. The aluminum does get cold in the winter and it is cold in your pocket as well. So I find the leather case nice to keep on it. The leather case fits snug and has a pocket on each side. Two credit cards can fit in each pocket on the leather case. Three could fit but it is a little tight, at least when the leather is new. Over time I would think it would adjust like any other new leather wallet. The aluminum wallet can fit up to 8 flat credit cards. The leather can hold 4 so that is a total of 12 cards. But you might be able to get a couple more in the leather case if being tight to remove is not a problem.Cash wise these type of wallets are limited. The leather case can fit cash in either pocket but 4 bills folded in half twice fits tight into the pocket. I would think a minimalist could be a realist and would want to carry cash too but these wallets are not really designed for that. If you carry 4 twenties and use one, you might get back 3-4 bills, then you are beyond capacity. However, they did include 4 cash bands and they fit over the leather case. Or you could use the band over just the cash itself and carry separately. One nice thing about this wallet, the credit card holder is a little wider than a credit card, and a little longer too, but this width happens to be the width of a US bill. So there is no need to double fold currency, just a half fold works and fits better under the band. Can easily fit 15 bills under the band on one side. This is a bit more practical and still has room if needed. The bills fit flat when half folded and are secure enough they will not fall out.The leather case looks nice, it is not shiny leather, more of a matte or flat leather look. This wallet does have a spring lever to eject the credit cards out. It ejects the cards in a fan like display but they are about 1/8” apart. Just too small for me to pull one out. But I found you can use the tip of your nail to push the cards back in until you hit the card you want and slide it out. Or a better way I found, eject the cards, then pull them all out about 1” further then you can use your thumb to push the top card back in, one by one till you reach the card you want. Only issue is that the slider button is a little hard to push for such a small button. It puts an impression in my thumb after sliding it open. After 20-30 times this will likely cause a sore thumb or finger. I found that even with no cards in the wallet the spring button is hard to push. One thing for sure, it will not open easily without an intent to open it. Perhaps over time the button spring will wear down a bit and it will become easier. I really think the button should have been larger or wider to push on along with a little weaker spring. But I don’t see this as a major issue just something you will notice.I particularly like this wallet because the width is equal to the US bill width. And therefore allows folding bills in half under the band. Other like wallets are smaller, the size of a credit card, and really require folding a bill in half twice which is not practical for more than a few bills. Note, new bills fold flatter but used bills tend to take up more room when folded.Dimensions:4 3/8" long (including button)2 7/8" wide1/2" thick with no cash

Impressive.
I never thought I would like this. Have carried a leather wallet for 40 years and made a change for simplicity. Holds ample cards and Id. Bottom on the side works great for pushing cards out. Wish it had a better way to carry cash. With the money. Solid and well designed. Exceeds every expectation.
