Great shoe but they are narrow in comparison to other Topo models, so you may want to upsize
My earlier pair was too narrow and so I upsized and got a wide. Great build quality and design, and I like the simple appearance. I appreciate all the features. I especially like the FKT insoles. Great step-in feel. The Vibram outsoles are excellent and the Zipfoam is a good ride. While I highly recommend them, I also recommend prospective buyers to carefully consider the sizing. I don't think my feet are especially wide, but I do enjoy a roomy toe-box, and these are quite narrow in comparison with other Topo shoes (I have another pair).

Comfortable quality shoes
I bought these shoes for warm weather hikes and was prepared to not like them. I always wear high waterproof hikers, but wanted cooler feet and quicker dry time. I was really surprised how great these shoes are. I’m size 11 medium in everything and they fit perfectly. The toe room is unbelievable and they fit snug around the mid foot/heal and ankle so no need for a death grip on the laces. I always double knot my laces, but these ones stay tied with just a single knot. The vibram soles have terrific traction and the flat footbed has just enough cushion and support to be comfortable on rocky trails. Light as a feather, flexible, they dry fast and look good, no clown shoe vibes. I am duly impressed and willing to admit my days of heavy high top hikers may be over for at least the summer weather. I recommend these Topo shoes highly.

Comfortable but doesn’t have that plush cushiony feel
I love how Topo’s feel and fit. For my narrow feet, Topo’s are superior in locking my foot into place. I hiked the John Muir Trail in 2020 wearing the Topo Ultraventure’s and they were so great and perfect feeling. I hate that I didn’t buy a few pairs of those for the future back when I had the chance. The new ultraventure 3’s are too overly stacked and cushioned for me so since I’m a long distance hiker, when I read about these new Traverse’s that are made specifically for thru-hiking which include some features I like like drainage holes and better stability, so it was a no brainer and worth giving them a feel. The initial fit was as expected but unfortunately they’re not quite what I’m looking for. It’s absolutely bonkers to me to design a long distance hiking shoe with the sole stacked as high as it is but with minimal cushioning. Without sufficient cushioning my feet start to ache a lot more so I was looking for a little of that plush cushiony feel like the original Ultraventure's, but unfortunately you don’t get that with the Traverse’s. Don’t get me wrong they are a great feeling shoe and I have no doubt they would be a 5 star shoe for someone else, but I’m just looking for that nice plush sweet spot

Great shoe
Fit is awesome, this is my second pair. My first pair were not wide and they were my regular street shoe size which caused me some issues with my toes. These were a full size larger and a wide shoe. Wore them a couple of times already and they have been much more comfortable. Really like the rock plates, and the tread provides great traction on all surfaces.

Disappointing Fit for Larger Sizes
Disappointing Fit for Larger Sizes – Not Recommended for Serious Hikers! As an avid hiker, I had high hopes for these shoes but ended up returning them immediately after trying them on. The design is simply not proportionate for larger sizes (11+). While the length increases, the width and height remain the same as smaller sizes, making them extremely uncomfortable.I had to remove the laces just to get my feet in, and even after re-lacing, they barely fit properly. The heel height (back support of the shoe) also remains unchanged across sizes, causing constant slipping—especially when using third-party inserts for better support. Unfortunately, this made them feel more like loose sandals than secure hiking shoes. If you have smaller feet, these might work (my friend with size 9.5 likes them), but for anyone needing true comfort, support, and a properly proportioned fit, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Seems great but not for wide/high volume feet
I had really high hopes for Topo overall after hearing all the praise of people switching to them from Altras but unfortunately the fit of them was strange for my feet, right length based on my normal size but tight all over except the toe box. The toe box seemed slightly wider than normal, on par with my Brooks running shoes, but not as wide or square as Altras. The rest of the shoe seemed like it was made for a narrow or low volume foot. It was tight across the top of my toes, the tongue didn’t even cover the whole top of my foot and I barely had enough lace length to tie them. The style, colors, materials and build all seem on point. I especially liked the outsole, cushion and rigid heel (much stiffer overall coming from Altra Lone Peaks). They also incorporated a lot of small design details in how the cushion was shaped, stitching, etc. I’ll try upsizing or see if they make a wide because I like the idea of them so much. The shoes would be a 5+ star except for fit, just seem to not be made for my feet.

Yes, very good product - - will buy another pair in the near future.
it was suggested by my wife to get these a try - - and wow! they are really amazing - - they fit differently then the Nike's I was used to and initially they rubbed a bit at below the shoe strings but with a little adjusting they fit great and they are super comfortable and are feather light. I'll buy again for sure !!

Comfortable
Men's Topo Traverse size 12. Narrow mid foot (and I have narrow feet). Supplied insole was terrible, as in most shoes. No arch support and really uncomfortable step. Replaced with old Spenco cross-trainer insoles and fixed problem.Plenty of room in the toe box. Material above toes is thin. Made sure to file my nails well to avoid damaging materials. Why 5*? Because they saved my feet walking city concrete for a week vacation. They held up where I would have been suffering in my Keens.Good shoes, but they could be much better. Make material stronger, insole better, offer normal shoe colors
