My favorite scent.
Recently used this at a friend's on vacation and nearly forgot how much i missed it. Such a comforting, light and peace-inducing scent. It really is lovely. I don't like flowery scents at all and this isn't. Incense can be very intrusive. This envelops you in a warm comfort. Highly recommend.

Great Product
I seem to be one of the lucky few who's incense arrived in one piece. I admit that after reading the reviews, I was nervous about that. My shipping was delayed, despite the 2-day Prime shipping deadline. I ordered 3 different scents and all three were sent in an Amazon plastic pouch with absolutely NO bubble wrap or any kind of padding or protection at all. I'm extremely lucky that all three incense packs came to me in one piece. The incense itself smells absolutely divine. Unexpectedly sweet, subtle, and warm. More cinnamon notes than I was expecting, but it works. The packs only come with 35 sticks, but they are rather long ones and the scent lingers so i personally don't mind the price. 100% recommend, if you don't mind rolling the dice on broken incense sticks.

Smells like my pappy
Very nostalgic scent, definitely reminds me of autumn like burning leaves but also a lot like my grandpa who always wore patchouli perfume. Made me tear up a little when I first realized where I smelled it before. I like lighting this at night before I go to bed and it helps me fall asleep. Low smoke as is expected of this style of incense

Smells great, but gives me a headache
This scent is great, however burning it, only a small portion of one stick, in my room gave me a headache. Since none of the other comments mention it, this may be a rare thing, or it may just be a thing with me personally. If you're sensitive to this, however, maybe try another scent or another brand.

Autumn Leaves incense
I like most Shoyeido incense. One of them I like best is Autumn Leaves. It has a woodsy smell and a hint of sweetness. The smell lingers even after the incense has burned out. The incense doesn't smoke and burns cleanly. The sticks are fragile. You may break a couple before you get the hang of handling them. I've found that they don't break if pulled from the center of the bundle. There are other times when I break them on purpose because I don't have time to burn a whole stick.

shoyeido is the best
In recent years, origami has regained some popularity as an art form. I saw an exhibition at the Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem MA that included a Chinese dragon, folded from a single piece of paper, complete with individual scales, claws and whiskers. It was amazing, but for all that, I think the simple paper crane is the perfect origami sculpture. Perhaps it is because the origami evokes the animal without trying to imitate it. It never stops being paper and yet in its simplicity it has a certain perfection. There is something about Shoyeido scents that remind me of origami. Their best, and I think Kyoto Autumn Leaves is among them, are as lovely as the crane; evocative and haunting but not really a scent of any one thing - not flowers or pines or sandalwood, but something both less and more. This is an incense I have come back to for years, often as a complement to my meditation practice, and I always find it welcome and welcoming.

One of my favorites!
This scent is by far my favorite, but I really enjoy the entire Shoyeido brand! Their scents are light and add a good amount of fragrance to the room without overpowering. Sometimes I like to open a window which seems to enhance the smell. These incense are also nice to use during the winter when things become stagnant. I've been experimenting with other scents from this brand (i.e. Moss Garden, Inspiration), but come back to Autumn Leaves for a daily driver. The other scents are very intentional and good for their purposes.I originally got these incense because my housemates are sensitive to the heavier incense I had before. Now I intend to stick with Shoyeido and highly recommend these to anyone looking for a gentle addition to their home.

***BEWARE EXTREMELY FRAGILE***
The smell is ok, I've had much better incense. What I dislike is that they are snap and break the moment you touch them. The moment that I opened the package they started snapping and breaking. It snapped even when I tried to lay it down on the incense tray. It snapped when I tried to push it down in a candle. This is a complete waste of money. And, they are very small. If they made them thicker, I would possibly repurchase.

Beautiful aroma, but be aware ahead of ordering of its lesser strength than "perfumed" incenses
Truly an engrossing, gorgeous scent. Imagine a warmer, drier, cinnamon-inclusive variation of the beautiful, sweet, humid scent of the fallen, sunbathed leaves of autumn's maple trees. This incense is, compared to its perfumed counterparts, quite light in strength; to fully appreciate its very rich and delicate aroma, you'll want to burn it in close proximity to you. With its even aroma that lacks any piercing, sharp attributes in mind, this is certainly one of the absolute least offensive incenses I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Even the ashes are not unpleasant—a fact which begs repeating when you take into consideration how nasty some of the ashes of other incenses are, with some reeking of the remains of cheap cigarettes (every Satya and Nandita incense I've burnt, regardless of how pleasant their actual odors are) and others smelling like some sort of odd, mildly offputting play-dough (Nippon Kodo's "Aqua"—a recent purchase and a different aroma entirely, with a pleasing, but stonger and far more perfume-heavy scent signature than this Shoyeido product in question). Of course, the "quality" of an incense's waste product is probably beside the point for many people—but when even your combustion residuals—your *literal waste product*, I stress—is lovely in its own right, I am far and away impressed. This is perhaps the single most enrapturing incense I've encountered; quite frankly, I'm not able to get enough of it. A must-try; absolutely worth the price of $8 per pack of 35 sticks (18g total).

I can't get enough of this!
I took a gamble with this one, as I'm not usually a fan of anything sweet. But the overwhelmingly positive reviews convinced me to try, the biggest attraction being that it's all natural ingredients... Erm, people who described it as the epitome of autumn leaves, what kind of leaves are you smelling?!? I got none of that from this incense. To my nose it's not foresty/woodsy, it's not leafy or outdoorsy at all. (which is what I signed up for). It just smells of caramel. Pure & simple! Yet having said that... I am completely head over heals in love with this fragrance now. I can't get enough! It's just such a happy comforting scent & the sweetness is not sickening or cloying at all. Colour me a fan despite the dashed expectations.
