Sony Region Free Blu Ray Player Pal/NTSC Zone A B C Rigion 012345678 Will Play

I have a working Blu-ray player, but it only plays North American region DVDs and Blu-rays. For my modest collection of media from other regions (mostly region 2), I bought this region free Blu-ray player.The setup was super easy and it works great! Plug it in and it works. I was finally able to watch my region 2 DVD of "Attack Force Z" on my big TV and the allegedly region free, but not working on region 1 players, Blu-ray of "Doctor Who: Fury from the Deep" played perfectly as well.It's small and light so I can easily move it upstairs if I want to watch any discs in my office. I'm definitely happy with this purchase!

It was a good value for the money, and it is smaller than the Blu-Ray player we previously had. I bought this because I occasionally buy foreign DVDs or Blu-Ray discs. Set up was easy, and it has a nice remote. Picture quality is good, and Sony makes a quality product.

Just insert any region Blue Ray or DVD and it just starts playing seamlessly, compact and reliable, only downside is that have no WiFi.

I have had a lot of code free DVD players over the years, and this one is one of the best. Just plug it in, connect to TV and it's ready to use. Simple. So far it has played everything ok and the quality is perfect. No complains here :)

Glad to see Sony making a free zone player. Comes with a good selection of streaming apps. I like VUDU and the is there. Very good picture quality.

Plays my foreign videos, great price.

The player that was shipped to me was the model S1700 rather than S1500. I don’t think there is much difference either way, and regardless, this is an excellent player. I have British Blu Ray restoration of the Horror of Dracula that would not play on either of my other region free players, but on this one it plays perfectly. I have tried a number of British and Italian DVDs that I own, and all play correctly. As for the player itself, it is quite good. I have a similar Sony Blu Ray that have served me well for several years. The player is much more compact than it appears in the photo, being only about 9” wide x 7” deep. It comes pre-installed with a number of internet players such as Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc. The biggest downside is that it does not have wireless internet access; I run Ethernet throughout my house, so it is no issue for me, but if wireless internet is a requirement, you should pass on this player, otherwise this is an excellent region-free player.

I have owned a few other units and most had confusing remotes or didn't allow you to see menu screens. This unit is very simple to use, lets me see all the menu screens and since I have a Sony t.v. it works seamlessly. I would recommend it to anyone.
