Comprehensive
To say that this book is comprehensive is an understatement. It features the math and physics behind rocketry. Lots of exploration is possible. The project rockets are also well-described and do-able. Great for middle-school and high-school students with an interest in rockets and rocket propulsion. Also, of course, good for adult hobbyists. This book supports much more than just a passing interest in things that go “zoom.” It dives in.

Move over G. Harry Stine and the 7 versions ...
Move over G. Harry Stine and the 7 versions of The Handbook of Model Rocketry. Mike Westerfield has written the definitive book on 21st century model rocketry. This is from someone who flew his first Estes rocket in October 1967.

Good Way to Get Started in Model Rocketry
I'm 74 years old, but just getting started in model rocketry. This book covers just about everything, and includes over a dozen projects. I've built four of the rockets so far, but have not launched any yet due to the weather here in Alberta. I might have to build one of the water rockets next, since I could launch that in the rain!

Excellent book with clear instructions on building a range of rockets, with some fascinating rocket science.
This book takes the reader through building and flying several rockets, powered by air, water and rocket motors. The book also introduces the reader to the science of model rockets, from simple stability to comprehensive rocket science. For anybody who enjoys some of the physics, or wants to explore a bit further, this book is fascinating. Safety and rocket law are also explained. However the book is largely in imperial, not metric, and the parts listed are often not available in UK stores. However I have had little problem finding similar parts in UK DIY shops, and of course, from Amazon.
